This review is purely directed at the student orientation. First of all, I understand that the students are now college and we, as parents, really have no say in anything towards their schooling as adults now (FERPA and all that), but would it kill you to have a freakin’ agenda?! So, we were told that it started at 8:30 am. We arrived at 8 am to find parking so that we would be ready by 8:30 am, the start time. No, they were just starting to set up at 8:10 am, then we sat in an auditorium until 9 am. So 8:30 am was the arrival time, not the start time. This should have been clearly outlined. The presentations were the exact same information you are required to review during the online orientation section. At 10:30 the students left to go on a tour, “meet” other people, and register for classes. They packed up at 12:50 pm. Now mind you, I am STILL sitting here waiting for my child at 1:30 and no one else is around. No one has stopped to address me. No one knows where my kid is and the signal and WiFi are so bad that it is impossible to find her. Plus, I have been sitting here from 10:30 onward bc parents couldn’t go on the tour. If I had received this agenda in advanced, I wouldn’t have bothered coming. Ah, an update. So they didn’t have an iPad available for my daughter to register for her courses. How is that our problem? Literally no one is here. Why isn’t there one available? Now she is waiting on an advisor- why! Why are we still waiting here. This has been a complete waste of my time and a waste of my money. Had to pay a fee to come and sit in a lobby all day. That’s right. I took time off of work and paid money to sit and stare at a wall. This has been the most unhelpful student orientation I have ever seen. And done by 12:30? 1? Yeah right! 1:30 and everyone has packed up and left, but my child is still waiting for an advisor. Someone needs to plan better. This is ridiculous. I hope her semester is better than this. Because I am NOT impressed.

Good luck getting any help regarding financial aid . The department ignores you and they don’t care . I’ve went up to the school , called the school , submitted tickets with the help desk , reached out to director of financial aid and even the Dean of students . For four months I’ve been working to resolve my issue and school starts soon and I’ve gotten nowhere .

Your time would be better spent on GSU's other satellite campuses...

Terrible customer service. Waste of time to call admissions or financial aid because you will be put on hold for over 1 to 2 hours, I had to hang up the phone and call back. Finally got admissions after two hours, gave me wrong information, transfer me to Financial aid, am still on hold whiles typing this review. Just uselessness. Student are spending hard cash on student loans and stuff, but cannot get prompt assistance, please provide better customer service. Please, Hire more staff to handle calls. Just disrespectful.

Saw on tiktok one of your teachers likes to harass and call cops on your students. Definitely not okay. This woman should be fired. Would never send a child to this school.

RACIST!!! Carissa Grey called the police on two black students for being two minutes late for class . When the students said they weren’t leaving they paid to be here , Carissa grey left and came back with arm officers. They tried to grab the students things in force remove them. They then said if they do not leave they would go to jail for trespassing. CARISSA GREY NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!

I love the school. The campus is very safe and clean. It is a very comfortable campus and someone is always willing to help you. The only negative thing about the campus is it is hard to reach someone over the phone.

This schools staff has racist professors and advisers within their staff. The police was called on 2 students for being 2 minutes late to class. The police threatened those students with being charged with trespassing and they held onto there things until they agreed to leave. Let’s see how long until they delete this🙄 …

Had to go up to the admissions office in person in order to actually talk to someone about where I stood with my papers. Very helpful...slightly disorganized because of the two systems their using on the computers but they still managed to get me sorted out.
