I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my initial experience as a new student at your institution. As a new student, I expected to have a smooth transition into the school environment. However, my experience has been quite the opposite. I have found it nearly impossible to get in touch with a live person to address my questions and concerns. I recently emailed a faculty member from my personal email address regarding registration. Instead of receiving assistance, I was simply told that all communication must be done through the school's website. I then attempted to use the school's online chat feature, but was informed that the financial aid chat closes at 3 PM. I was advised to call the financial aid office instead, but when I did, I was met with a recorded message stating that they were busy and to leave a message. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I hope that you will take my concerns seriously and make it easier for new students to get the assistance they need.
Ana & Renae Are awesome, it was very hard for me growing up, and there was a lot of challenges being in school, especially when I was in foster care. Worked with me to navigate a good time for me to do my classwork. And don’t get me started with the teachers Kathy My favorite was just beyond amazing, If you want to get your Ged and be held accountable for showing up and doing good then this is the place you’re gonna wanna go. They will make sure to hold you accountable in a nice way
My experience at Gwinnett Tech has been truly amazing! Shout out to all the professors, they really care about their students succeeding in every area of our lives. I am so grateful for what God and this school has done in my life. I started here many years ago when I decided to go back and get my GED. I then went on to apply for entrance to their college and got accepted. I just finished my perquisites for the nursing adn program and am looking to get into their nursing program come fall of 2024. I'm so grateful for this school. Staff is always kind, librarian is always helpful, I have never felt to welcomed anywhere. My experience at Gwinnett Technical College has truly been amazing. Thank you to all the staff at Gwinnett Technical College on both campuses, you're making an impact in the lives of so many people! Lastly, shout out to the police officer's on campus. Thank you for always being kind and for putting yourself in the line of fire for us! God bless you and Jesus Christ loves everyone!!!
My experience back in 2018 was not the best, but after recently coming back I can see changes are taking place and that students are being heard. My advisor Donna Lee was very knowledgeable and very empathetic to my concerns. I also learned they are expanding their programs to include more options at the Alpharetta location. I hope they can start offering more behavioral degrees such pathways that lead to becoming a BCBA. They do however offer the first step in to becoming a RBT which is the certificate. There is such a need for careers that help with disabled persons and RBT/BCBAs make great money and are in high demand .
Great school with a great tech program. Addmission is really simple, and opportunities within the area for work, are abundant. The classrooms are top tier and really feel professional. If you enroll into this school you can feel a bit at peace knowing that you won't be breaking the bank. Tuition for in-store and out of state students won't be tremendously expensive even though they are priced based on credit hours. Even when taking multiple classes in one semester.
This is specific to the Kryterion testing center in Gwinnett Tech Alpharetta. The ladies who work there (Mondays and Fridays specifically) are so nice. I have taken a lot of professional certification exams in my career, and most testing centers are so EXTRA about the check in process and security. These ladies provide a secure check in process and ID verification, but without all the hassle and stress of being over the top with it like most places. Exams are stressful enough without all of that nonsense and police work. These ladies are friendly and helpful. Today I observed one of them going above and beyond to help someone who was confused about his GED and CLEP exam process. English was not his native language, so she went out of her way to help him and even walked down to an advisor to make sure he was only taking what was required for his specific circumstances.
Really bad experience...I have never felt so looked down on and "dumb" by a group of people (the staff) then I did today. The staff made me feel as if they were talking bad about me to each other while I was sitting there. I am very disappointed. Regardless of the question, no student should ever feel that way when they are just trying to ask for help.
I agree with the other reviews, they don't call back at a timely manner. They never pick up the phone. I'm disappointed bc I spent $25 on the application fee. After speaking to someone at another college, I think I'm going to start me application process with this new school. I wish I read the reviews before I applied at Gwinnett Technical!!
Terrible customer service! They wouldn't simply check a room for a flash drive i forgot the other night. Alpharetta campus is very small. It wouldn't take the long to check room 217 for a flash drive. They kept transferring me to another line where nobody would pick up and let me know they wouldn't check and told me to come check it myself. I live 45 minutes away, but they didnt seem to care much
This School/College is really Good and Excellent with Classes and How some of the Instructors are really Helpful👍👍👍👏👏👏✌️✌️✌️ …
