Don’t go here!! Fraud! They don’t care to do background check on people. Someone used my personal information to take out a student loan from here! Ruining my credit score! Have yet to discharge! It’s pathetic instead of trying to figure out who did this or what student?. I have to go through all these loops and jump to actually proof that I am who I say I am, but somehow someone can just get a 5000$ loan without proof???. Who’s sign???. Someone needs to answer for this. Please help

Excellent, affordable and reliable. This community college is a gem in the western suburbs located in Dupage County. The variety of programs is amazing. The teachers are very well educated. When applying ask for a waiver code and your application can be free. The pre-requisites to start classes at the college are very flexible. They have a wonderful support system called the learning center. They have free tutors in all classes. They offer financial aid and scholarships. Free GED classes. Advising and counseling is free. Registration can be in person or online. Classes are offered in a variety of offerings, online, hybrid, face to face or in person. What more can you ask for? A great college! Check it out.

I'm so happy I got my associates here before going to a 4 year. Amazing professors, education, and campus. Was really happy with all facets of this institution. They go above and beyond. The accommodations center was excellent. You get to use you student email for like which means lots of student discounts and free services.

My experience with student services at this institution, particularly in student records, counseling, and financial aid, has been deeply frustrating. Staff members often seem undertrained or uninformed, which leads to frequent miscommunication and administrative errors. The financial aid process has been especially concerning. Funds are routed directly to the school rather than giving students the option to manage their aid and make payments themselves. In some cases, remaining funds—clearly visible in billing—are not released to students without explanation. Issues caused by internal errors, such as incorrect information or delays, have led to students being dropped from courses. Unfortunately, these consequences often fall on the student rather than being acknowledged or corrected by the departments involved. For students seeking a smoother, more transparent experience, I would recommend exploring other community colleges. In my view, this institution prioritizes revenue over student support, which affects both affordability and overall academic experience.

The financial aid department is stupid. They do not know how to handle funds for students appropriately and they gate keep funding that is supposed to go to the students. Also, when confronted about their deceptive practices, the lady on the phone yelled at me and then would not tell me her name to be reported for her misconduct. It is clear that all these administrative departments are untrained. I do not empathize with those who cannot do a job according to job description. The only good thing is the degree programs and the academics outside of financial aid.

While trying to assist a family member in registering for classes as a freshman at COD, the Records staff demonstrated little interest in providing actual assistance. Rather than offering clear answers, they seemed to work harder at complicating the information and speaking in circles. It felt like their goal was to confuse rather than help, which made the entire experience frustrating and unproductive. A disappointing display of poor service and lack of initiative.
