Disappointing Experience — Poor Organization & Unprofessional Service I had high hopes for this school, especially given their early reputation. Unfortunately, as they’ve grown in popularity, the quality seems to have gone downhill fast. What was once a promising service has become one of the most disorganized and unprofessional experiences I’ve had. Scheduling is a mess, communication is inconsistent at best, and there’s a serious lack of accountability. It honestly surprises me that they’re still in business given how poorly things are run. If you care about your education and value your time, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far better, more reliable options out there.
It’s a business for them not education and most credit do not transfer. They are also connected with Marian Ancilla College. Explore different options for better educations please .
Here visiting for a campus tour with my daughter. So far what we have seen is amazing. Marian University is a great place. The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. We look forward to visiting with her here at Marian University.
Only giving it a one star because zero stars is not an option. Terrible school, they care more about numbers than the well being of there students. They remove 3/4 of commuter parking and then ticket all the commuters who now have no place to park. Mental health services are non existent. Professors are of the poorest quality and only care about getting a paycheck. Photography makes students go off campus and work with a stranger in one of the worst areas around Indianapolis with shootings happening weekly in said area. Do not attend this school, especially if you are commuting.
I highly recommend don't attending this school. This school is a ripe off and quick to send you to collection without contacting you first. The tuition well over priced. Don't waste your time attending.
Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.
Doesn’t fund fundamental services such as tutoring adequately because they would rather spend that money on a puppet. Additionally, they mess around with your classes so it is incredibly hard to graduate on time, and credits don’t transfer to other universities.
Tuition Can be a little high but I love the morals values they instill into every student. They have very nice staff. Even though it's a Catholic college, they don't push their religious beliefs on the students.
While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.
For several months, administration failed to be responsive to me and my admisssions counselor regarding whether they would provide reasonable accommodations for my disability. A negative response would have been more fair than lack of a response. That is unprofessional and very unChristian for a Christian university.
I came back to study biology and the smaller classes helped me feel secure in knowing I had the resources to finish my goals. As a non-traditional student, I am grateful for the community that Marian gave me.
Intimate feel, intelligent people. I've done volunteering here with central Indiana regional science and engineering fair and it's always been a blast. Organized and very science focused!
My daughter has autism and was accepted. She started making friends very quickly. The staff work with her and treat her like everyone else.
