Going to this school was the best decision I ever made. I got a quality education with friendly professors who you could tell were passionate about what they studied. I was in the College of Liberal Arts, and it was fantastic! I made so many friends here, the campus is beautiful, and it is easy to navigate. I suggest getting involved in student organizations because it is a great way to add to your resume, have fun, and make connections, memories, and friendships on campus. I am proud to have gone to PFW.
While the professors and actual academic staff are phenomenal, this school will suck you dry of every penny you can have when simply trying to balance life and school. I had to drop out of classes only two months into the semester due to health issues, and I am now dealing with attorney fees and court cases. Even though I followed the parameters outlined by the university for withdrawal, I am being plagued by financial burden for withdrawing in my best interest. The Board and the Bursar's office are cruel and careless, they just want any money they can to cover the fact that they need money. Do not attend here unless you are 100% certain of financial longevity.
Investing in university summer camp was a GREAT decision when looking ahead at options in the industries of interest, but one so close to home. We appreciate the STEM offers this year! Thank you Purdue!
Don’t go here! This school just continues to decline, severely and rapidly. Don't go here unless you want to be financially ripped off, mislead by the staff in detrimental life altering ways, and lied to. Administration is awful, they constantly mess up in multiple departments, they incorrectly charge me every semester And then put false holds on my account (preventing me from registering on time which forces me to spend my time before and during the semester to fix their constant mistakes, I have had to sign up for the only classes that remain open that don't necessarily apply to my degree. I'm shocked the school is still in operation. I'm supposed to graduate this fall but I'm not able to because of their administration errors. I lost a chancellors scholarship because their financial aid didn't do their job properly.
Great campus, good housing. Neat facilities. Up to date with most state campuses. Interesting town.
Cherry Blossom Festival was amazing! My daughter and I attend every year.
Great place!! We watched our Granddaughter dance, and several other girls!! Was an awesome time!!!
As a freshman at IPFW, I have come to a place that makes you feel as good as someone at home. People know you and they are awesome. The campus is clean when not under construction and well kept. Security is good and the faculty and staff are top notch. The only downside to the campus is the student life experience. Although everyone here is nice and all, there aren't very good student activities besides homecoming. I personally would like to see more of those. Overall, the campus is a great place to learn.
Commuter campus so not very active on weekend when I was there. But I met several administration members and was impressed. I was there for a Queer Health On Campus conference, I think that's a good sign the extra curricular activities are pretty diverse. They have a pretty active hotel training program and a partner hotel across the street. All facilities looked pretty well kept up.
AVOID this school. Not sure if it's a lack of competence or a lack of care for their students but the vibes are off. Below are two examples from this last semester that have led to my 1 star rating: 1) Given a midterm exam to do on sketchy spyware software that didn't work on a Mac and caused me to miss the exam. The website for the online program specifically lists Mac as a compatible requirement. 2) I was harassed, lied to, and gaslight by a faculty member over an assignment. It was borderline abusive. If this was a workplace and I was an employee rather than a student, it would have been considered harassment. I reported this, with a paper trail, to the department and got a "thanks for the feedback".
