This is a college with about 900 students. Small enough to find your fit and large enough to have access to anything you could envision for your education. We often visit the dining hall for dinner and we very much enjoy the food and fellowship. The place is happy. It’s Chestertown- what’s not to like? Don’t park any old place - it will cost you. Safety is a serious matter here and the campus provides plenty of safety features throughout the buildings and facilities.
What a pretty campus and stadium. We were there for a field hockey game. There is a lot of staff and facility parking in front of the stadium. These are open on the weekends. The bleachers were nice and clean. The turf is new and according to a few players plays very slow.
Really enjoyed this journey with my daughter. The school is definately top notch. Very safe and spirited atmosphere with excellent teaching and leadership. These are photos of a dorm with 4 b.r. and 2 bath. With a common area.
Maryland is full of tiny ancient small-town colleges that are an integral part of their surrounding communities. There are McDaniel College (Westminster), Hood College (Frederick), St. John's College (Annapolis), Mount St. Mary's College (Emmitsburg) and, of course, Washington College. Washington College is a real liberal arts college, meaning that there is genuine interest in liberal arts and pursuit of truth and critical thinking. It's not so much about pre-professional training. Chestertown is a real feature of studying here. It's a beautiful town and Washington has a beautiful historic campus. Think of Chestertown as a miniature version of Annapolis and you'll get the idea. The town has gentrified in recent years and that helps to contribute to its vibe of a nice college town. The college itself is also gaining popularity and becoming more selective.
Awesome small college campus similar to New England Prep Schools.
Toured the campus on Veterans Day 2024 with my camera. Pretty campus. I talked to a few students while I was there and they were friendly and open. The college is historic. Been there for many years.
The college is wonderful for hosting events. I have been to conventions on campus several years. The food and event facilities are top notch. The staff always work to make guests comfortable, and everyone is friendly. Thank you all!
Proud to be an alumnus of Washington College. My husband and I both had a great experience during our time here. We loved our classes and working with our professors. I would highly recommend any ambitious students looking for a great and personalized education to consider applying here.
Great school very historic. The food is good however, some students think otherwise. Very helpful and caring professors. The students seem tight knit and friendly. Great place to learn and grow.
We just got a bill for 13000 more then what we paid last 2 years with no notice that our aid was taken away . I will never recommend this school to anyone we know. My sons went to f and m and Millersville and had a great experience but the way the school handled this situation is a disgrace . They haven’t even replied to my email I sent on June 30 th to the board so I assumed I’m just screwed we have no choice but to pay since already a Junior and can’t transfer. Look elsewhere this place is a true disappoint thinking we were going to a small school which would treat us like they cared ! Not !
I will never be able to fully express how much Washington College means to me. The WAC community is so supportive and the professors truly care about you. WAC is a small school with big heart and I recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a place to call home for college.
This is a great place to learn. Not only have I been challenged academically, but there is a true sense of community here. They encourage me to follow the dreams I didn't even know I had until I stepped foot on campus.
This college has the perfect setting to go to school. In historic Chestertown, right by the water, it is the town you always wanted to live in! The best part: everything you need is in walking distance!
Beautiful buildings and campus
Such a nice campus. As long as our son is happy, that means we're all happy
Nice college on eastern shore
Great college..great opportunities, and a beautiful campus.
Great experience - great school with world class people in an idyllic setting.
A wonderful, caring community, with truly amazing academic programs.
Everything was great the food selection could have been better
