I cannot recommend KU. It is extremely overpriced, the reputation is deteriorating, and the experience is broadly awful. The culture is dangerous due to geographic isolation and a dramatic gender disparity. Academically, professors are famously underpaid and I suspect the admin is as well. There is little coherence in intensity between courses and professors in those courses. In COMMS 301 we were given grammar worksheets to practice comma placement made for 6th graders. A few professors were known creeps, a couple frats are known hazards, and the only good thing about it is the fact that you're working half the year off campus. Find another institution that offers coop.

I applied and got accepted into an online double masters program. One of the biggest mistakes in my life. I finished the first masters and didn't even think about going for the second. In fact I already knew what a big mistake it was when I was halfway, but I couldn't just lose the already invested money. The biggest disadvantage is the fact that no other university will accept you if you want to leave Kettering. Their credits are just worthless. The way they treat the online students is something out of a bad movie. Lots of egomaniac professors who grade you based on their own grading criteria (which they do not share) and if you do not agree practically there is no one to complain to because no one cares. In other words you pay them close to 50 grand and they do with you whatever they want for that money. Overpriced and subpar. I don't understand how they got here without a lawsuit.

Excellent school that changed the trajectory of my life. Small class sizes allow for a very personalized education. I wouldn't hesitate to attend or recommend this school. After 15 years in the workplace, my peer group is far and above non-Kettering students in our total income earned and world influence. It's pretty amazing.

Small school environment. High intensity. Good one-one with professors and loads of opportunities if you grab them. No one hands you anything here, you need to step up and speak up. If you left a 1 star review, sorry you can't handle being an adult💁 …

A great school to learn both theoretical and practical hands on engineering. Be prepared to work hard as this school isn't for the weak. Long hours and little social life make this a difficult school bit one that will reward those work hard in the long run.

An excellent place to learn most any kind of engineering or science; their mechanical and industrial engineering programs are especially good, consistently performing at a national top-ten level (often clinching the #1 spot, in the case of IE!). They also teach business; while this major is snickered at by people studying other majors here, I hear that the business program is actually quite good as well. While some of the facilities are dated, the majority are top-notch; seeing the wave of improvements that have washed over the campus since President McMahan took office, I have every confidence that this will continue to improve as time goes by. The three-month school/work rotation schedule is grueling, but worth it in my opinion; if you can handle the breakneck pace (and the hefty price of tuition) here, then you will be exceedingly well equipped to enter the workforce (earning quite the pretty penny) upon graduation.

The staff was welcoming and nice and everybody on campus went out of their way to say hi and there was a air of family, that little extra is why they get five stars.

Going to Kettering was the WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE. My first semester alone cost more than $20,000. After my first semester I decided to go to a community college, which ended up being the best decision of my life. At Oakland Community College I payed less than $2,000 per semester to take the same classes I would have taken at Kettering. I only went to Kettering because of their internship program and I would not have even gotten an internship if my uncle did not work at the company I interned at. By the way I could have sworn I saw a sign for Eastern Michigan University that said people with a 3.0 High school gpa and an ACT score of 20 get FREE TUITION for 2 years.

Attended a reception for graduating A Section students at the Mobility Research Center outside! Dr McMahon and his staff put on a great party! Good luck to the sharp, newly minted engineers and scientists!!

For anyone going into the field of engineering, there is no better school out there to best prepare you for your future. The co-op program is 2nd to none and allows all students (myself being one of them, Class of '15) to apply their knowledge in the workplace. I owe where I am with my company to my experience at Kettering. And on top of that, being a smaller student body allows for many oppurtunities to be involved on campus in whatever interests you. Loved my time at Kettering and wouldn't have changed anything about my college experience there!
