I waited before writing this review because I hate writing negative reviews. This school parades about them being rated the #1 community college but waketech has alot of changes to make. I wonder who did they ask to get that rating, did they ask all the students or what? Blackboard system has many technical problems, wrong information in student accts regarding classes, many times issues with testings not opening and instructors not giving proper grading or credit. And a huge one is the response times from the college system: financial aid, and instructors getting back to you etc, takes days, weeks, if at all, to get back a response, I sent a email to dean of financial aid weeks ago and its very important of funding and classes adding or dropping which requires attention that shouldnt be delayed. I said let.me.go on campus spoke to Dean of student services, she didn't get back to me as she said she would..it's like they have all these ppl in roles but no ones handling anything. It definitely makes the student experience more difficult where I keep hearing they have systems in place to make it easier for students to be successful. I'm my case it has made it harder, stressful, and difficult. My question: have you done thorough testing on the systems you have in place? I can tell you many of them are not working and wtcc is not the best #1 community college, extremely flawed.

Ran into the rudest automotive teacher, all I asked was for some assistance or a phone number and he proceeded to cut me off saying he wasn't stopping what he was doing for me, although I didn't ask him to, I would have waited but he was so rude about it that I just left. I wasn't rude or disrespectful I just kept reiterating that I wasn't trying to hold him up in what he was doing but he insisted that I was.

If Jonathan Vester, and Ryan Lee Schwiebert are still in charge of the IT department, please anyone seeking IT experience go to another job. They only care about power and never appreciate tier 1 support agents. Also they have the mindset only staff on South Campus work is recognize. If you work in any other campus any hard work you do will never be notice by upper management. I enjoyed supporting my North Campus and the students/staff enjoyed my IT support I provided them but upper management never notice or cared about my performance.

If you are a North Carolina resident the prices for courses and degrees are cheap compared to a lot of schools. You can literally get some of the same degrees for more than half the price than those fancy universities.

I love my school. As an adult student of 3 years here, I can say that Northern Campus is probably the best campus with the most resources. Everything is new and modern. They have a food pantry for students in need, which is a wonderful service. The library is spacious. Computer labs always working. As a member of the Fall class of 2020, I am proud to be a Wake Tech Eagle! It’s never too late to get your college degree. I’m 36 years old and can promise you that the joy and pride you feel when you finish is so worth it. Invest in your future and in yourself. Affordable education at a beautiful campus! Only con is that the bookstore rarely buys textbooks back. I’ve never seen my assigned advisor once. They never return your emails. That is my only real gripe. I had to set up my schedules myself as best as I could without their assistance.

Thanks to all the taxpayers. WTCC North is a valuable resource for anyone going back to school, learning a new skill set, prepping for a four year school. All my professors here has had some type of real world experience that they share which makes learning fun. Thanks again for everything!

I have had nothing but positive results here at the North Campus. I haven't been here except for a summer semester so I hope the parking issues others complain about don't ruin it this fall. The library is great and empty in the summer!

Beautiful easy access campus. Plenty of wide open spaces.

The North Wake Technical Community College is a great way to earn an associates, transfer, or earn a trade degree (welding, nursing, etc). There are many resources on campus that can help you, like the ILC (Individualized learning center). But, you HAVE to find these places and get help for yourself. For you to succeed at Wake Tech you have to consistently work and get help. The help won't come to you.

It's a good school but the blocky design wants to turn me away. It's also too easy to become lost here. Also not a good spot to take your test. And very stringent people, left that part out.
