This has to be the worst CUNY, no, the worst college in NYC overall. If I could give it negative stars I would. Anyone saying a specific department is disorganized don't be fooled. The whole school is disorganized. I'm surprised they're even able to run the place. Edit: After looking at most of the reviews, majority of the positive reviews are from people who don't even attend; just googled some bs to put in the review; or it's fake accounts. Do yourselves a favor and don't attend here. Actual students are telling you how bad it is. If you think you can just show up, attend classes and leave. Trust and believe they will find a way to make things difficult.

Alumni here. Graduated since January 2023. Now, as far as I know most of the staff and students have terrible attitudes (especially the financial aid office). Most of the technology here is out of date and going back to staff, they constantly give you the run around about information you need/want to know and you're stuck because you don't even know what to believe. Hell, I had a severe mental breakdown in the men's room at the Voorers building back in September 2022 and this male security guard was passive aggressive towards me. Now I understand why the statistics for this school are the way they are, most students end up transferring and very little graduate. Complete waste of time and money. I don't recommend this CUNY school. You're better off elsewhere.

⭐️ 1/5 — Worst Experience City Tech and CUNY Welcome Center gave me no real help, only delays and excuses. Feels like they push students away instead of supporting them. ⚠️ Avoid them!

Don't attend their nursing program. They are very unorganized and they are delaying us from taking the NCLEX exam in our last semester. Its June 18 and they still haven't sent our information to Albany for review our pinning ceremony was MAY 27. They forced us to pay $250 for a "NCLEX Review" that wasn't helpful at all. They claimed it would be personalized but it was a general review filled with questions from a test bank that we've seen all semester. We were told we wouldn't graduate if we didn't pay but it wasn't a requirement for the previous semester . Once Albany receives our information then we have to wait another 4-6 weeks to receive approval to sit for the exam. Such a delay is not allowing us to start working as nurses and allowing other nurses to get first dibs on the competitive jobs.

City Tech is an exceptional school within the CUNY system and the Northeast. Despite being a publicly funded institution, it has excelled, thanks to its knowledgeable and dedicated professors. Comparing it to other institutions isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. I initially enrolled to complete my associate degree but chose to continue and earn my bachelor's, given that most BTech programs are ABET-accredited. I have no regrets- it was one of the best decisions I've made. Ultimately, if you're a dedicated student, you'll succeed wherever you study. Remember, the school doesn’t define you - you define the school.

Don’t bother showing up for BEOC job fair/ events here. Came in today on the last hour & seems like it was an empty event. I overheard that some packed up early due to “not/enough applicants”. Regardless you should be available at all times. There was nothing for the Hospitality/Tourism majors. Waste of time.

If going to some med major, college is good. If you aren't, choose different. Community is good and active. Check ratemyprofessor or something to see additional information.

Currently studying in this college. One of the best colleges under The City University of New York. Everyone is friendly. and a lot of opportunities hang around the college. A great place to start a career.

Awesome lobby...80 ft high glass walls, running 200 feet each way, too form a right angle at intersection of Tillary & Jay streets. You get glimpse of this building coming off the Brooklyn Bridge, but walking into it offers another experience. The eye is regaled by complex geometric interior, and looking out , by sweeping view of the new skyscraper towering over St James Cathedral. Definitely worth a visit!

Don’t come here if you need quiet places to study. Every single part of this school is loud af. They even blast music on speakers throughout the school. If you think you’ve found a quiet place… give it 5 mins. There’s never any quiet. Even the silent floor of the library is obnoxiously loud. & no one is helpful everyone always has a huge attitude. If you think booking a private study room will help, don’t bother. It’s not quiet there either the walls are like made of paper & the people in the room besides you is usually loud af doing freestyle raps. The librarians are mean af and aggressive af and miserable. This isn’t a school for someone that actually wants to learn. This is a school to mess around. No one is helpful and many of the staff members are bias towards you based on race. Most of the professors are extremely annoyed by any questions and aren’t helpful at all. You’ll be repeating classes because no where to study quietly and no help from professors. You’ll be here forever. Good luck getting out.

Some of the office people can be a little grumpy but the professors are all great. It is a fine institution of higher learning and from my experience many of the students don't take their education seriously and then blame the professor …

Best CUNY school ever, I had an excellent education at city tech. I had very supportive professors who saw potential in me. I am proud to be a city tech civil engineering graduate.

Some of the worst schools. If you are interested in the nursing program. Do not do it! In the nursing department, there is never a counselor who can help you. In my case they made me take classes that I didn't need. In my TIS Test, I got 86.7 and I was not accepted into the program. They only care about money and do not help students.
