I had a phone appointment to schedule for fall classes and no one called. I call to make sure it was confirmed and they told me, the advisor had another 2:00pm appt. with another student and that my appointment was supposed to be at 1:30pm. Still didn't receive a phone call at that time. The classes I was hoping to sign up for are now waitlisted and full. My Fafsa and transcripts from high school and another college were already sent to this school; now I have to make a fafsa correction to apply to a better community college since they're very unorganized here. I do NOT recommend this school.
Beautiful campus and nice college overall. I loved the atmosphere and the easy-going vibe.
This is a great college!! Most of the professors are super nice. They are personable and care about you and your grades! I have had a bad experience with one professor but the rest have been great!! I would recommend this college to anyone!
Had a great time speaking at the Paul G. Duke Academy for Community Leadership cohort. Thanks to the faculty who led this class at Edison State Community College!
So far school has been great! Instructors are very detail oriented and I have only had one rather bland teacher, but that is inevitable. Mrs. Hartwig is hands down the BEST math teacher anyone could ask for. She was very open and willing as far as help, never let me leave class without knowing my assignments with in depth detail. Finishing my second semester in 2 weeks and honestly cant say anything bad about Edison. Great school, Great atmosphere, Great instructors! Wouls highly recommend to anyone looking for a close college. Thank you Edison Community College.
The instructors are great. I know a lot of them well and it is to my understanding that the school management and management system has not always been easy or in the best interests of the students. But in 2016, I as a full time student can tell you that this school is great. The staff is responsive and they care about the students. The courses here can be easy as well as hard. (it varies on the instructor) But overall, education is a far more valuable tool than anything else and this place is a good place to start if you don't have a lot of money to spend. (Courses range from the 2 to 5 hundred dollar range)
First off the professors are great, they help you and answer all questions. In the 5 years I have attended, there are only a few that were mediocre, but they are gone now. Advisors are helpful, but you will need to make sure they know what you want. As an older student the school is affordable and most classes are available in the evening. Down fall is several classes like Calculus, pre calculus, music, and other lab classes have limited availability in the evenings and in some cases not at all. They now offer scholarships for older students who do not qualify for other financial aid. No out of county fees unlike some schools.
The reviews here are so sad to see!!! I absolutely love Edison I couldn't imagine going to another school. I've always had exceptional instructors here in my 3 years here. One instructor they could do without is Bucanon but everyone else does an amazing job. They care about their students and want them to do well. Rhonda Rich goes above and beyond for her students and makes sure they are on a good path for success. If also like to mention Ruth Barney, mcroberfs, and Robinson for contributing to my success. I appreciate all they have done for Me.
My Experience at Edison State Community College has been Invaluable. Most recently the members of The Cares Team. My Professor MMA, Marva, New Friend, Bruce, Teacher Morgan, and last but not least, Dr Jessica Chambers. Thank you for all you do. ❤️;⚕️
Edison is a wonderful place to further your education. The instructors are wonderful and all the staff are very helpful. All the staff helps you to succeed and encourage you to keep going even when times get rough. Overall Edison is the best in this area in my opinion!
