Too easy to qualify for acceptance. Classes are too simple. Many students who have been in classes for 2 years still do not know how to cite sources. Too expensive for the quality of the education & "professors." Flexible, yes, but it is not a quality education in many aspects. I would call it a degree mill with a liberal ideology that is devoid of true responsibility, accountability, & fairness.

Great university with many great programs from Bachelors, masters as well as PhD

not worth the time or money. curriculum is shallow to accommodate working/busy students. Grades are inflated, and the "hands-on" experience is merely an online module that you complete in person. you may qualify for grants and scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition, but usually they wont take effect for a couple years unless you're destitute now. So expect to spend at least $30k for what amounts to a crappy high school education. there is one small library that has a few rooms you can study out of, but for the most part there are no amenities despite a hyper-inflated tuition. And that's even after they reduced tuition. The teachers are all adjunct except for a few key department heads that are compelled to teach a 100/200 level to fulfill some requirement or bc they couldn't staff the class. Some adjunct are passionate and are extremely effective at their role, but most are burnt out and just as financially destitute as the students. For this education to have value, you must have someone else footing the bill, whether that be scholarships, company tuition reimbursement, etc. The education is not worth the sticker price. For your degree to have value afterwards, you must have your OWN network and internships established. Franklin will not provide you much beyond access to connect with Alumni. Zero help with internships, zero help with company networking, zero help with career beyond shallow advice from similar failures. So to conclude, Franklin University's education has value; if you're not paying for it, already have a career network established, and want to get an easy (but incredibly shallow) degree. For everyone else, it is an overpriced high school academy.

Whitney potter and Chris tyner - cannot say enough about these individuals. While I’m sure there’s plenty more good hearted people here, these are the ones I encountered at the university. They don’t understand how much they’ve helped me stay on top of my academics even when I felt like I was alone and giving up! I commend you all. You may do this as your careers but you are truly working miracles and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Franklin is the best university I’ve attended. They hold you accountable and provide you tools to succeed. Though, online I still feel a part of the campus. Not all super heroes wear capes! Love 🥳☺️☺️

I have been a student at this University going on 2 years now after transferring from another school. This is an amazing University and definitely centered around supporting the working adults. Honestly I have never had an issues with any professors so far with 5 classes under my belt. Most classes are online with some on-campus if needed. My academic advisor has been very supportive and helpful. Overall I have had a great experience and I am excited to graduate hopefully fall of 2023. I highly recommend this school for anyone already in the workforce or have children and want to attend class in the evenings.

Terrible communication between financial aid and the student which delayed my money for 3 extra weeks, it’s pricey, you get mediocre grants and awards back, the education is just average I wish I went to a different school

I read through a lot of the negative reviews about Franklin and I am noticing one common theme: lack of accountability. Most of the reviews were blaming the school for doing what college requires you to do. No one said going to college was going to be a walk in the park. You have to EARN your degree and that requires putting in the work, the effort, and staying motivated. It’s up to YOU to take an exam at the testing center or obtain an appropriate proctor. They give you more than enough time to arrange that into your schedule. It’s also up to you to turn assignments in on time and coordinate your schedule to fit the deadlines. In the professional world, your boss isn’t going to extend your deadline because your kid got sick so why should your professor? Plan ahead and BE ACCOUNTABLE. I am a Franklin Alumni and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. Franklin is a great option for someone who needs a little more flexibility than traditional “in-person” college. I highly recommend the programs they offer, the instructors, and the administration. My experience was awesome because I put in the effort. Please do not take the reviews from people being lazy as accuracy about this university.

Been trying to finish my degree here the past 2 years but have hit a speed bump. I am now 2500 in the hole because of incompetent staff and being few days late from withdrawing from classes I could not take due to lose of income and inadequate explanation of how financial aid works with the university. This has been a continuous issue and the fact that every time I go to talk about it, it is someone different every time. Update to this is I received help but it was to late and took way to long for people to get back to me. I plan to continue with Franklin as they are a decent school. Faculty changes on a constant has proven aggravating. Updated to the update: I never went back and went to Southern New Hampshire University, where they actually take education seriously.

Even though it has now been 40 years since I graduated from Franklin University, I still smile at the memories of my time there and unequalled knowledge I gained from taking classes there. I've been gone from Ohio for more than 35 years, but kept track and watched Franklin grow into an even more world class school. A great deal of my business career from 1982 on would not have possible or anywhere near as successful without this university and give it the highest recommendation.

The Computer Science & IT program equip students with practical, industry-ready skills. The curriculum blends core concepts with real-world coding experience, and the flexible online format works well for busy students.
