This post is specifically for Danielle Brown at ASU Three Rivers in Malvern. Thank you for going above and beyond today! I called a random number to find help because no one was answering the student account or financial aid office for the past 2 days. I emailed student account this morning and by the end of the day still hadn't received an email. Mrs. Brown did not stop until she connected me with the correct person to solve 2 of my problems and she didn't have to! She could've transferred me to the correct places voicemail! Thank you for taking time out of your day to assist me, even though it was not your area! ASUTR, you have a great jewel there!
We toured here today with our son. Caleb was a fantastic tour guide. Caleb had an answer for each question we asked and gave the handouts to have physical copies of answers to our questions. We had a great experience and our son will be enrolling for fall courses. Thanks Caleb and ASU.
There are other schools, just don’t. There are some good people at this school, some helpful and kind ones but unfortunately the unprofessional acts of the many sours the experience. I tried to give them a chance against others word of mouth opinions and I should’ve listened but my mama and grandma always said a bought lesson is a taught lesson and a hard head makes a soft behind.
just wanted to post this for my dear cousin! she has been through hell and back just simply trying to get a career. so many people tried to stand in the way of her graduation, her state testing, and even just getting this license in the mail. even teachers that TAUGHT her have picked apart her work and talked down on their own student. you know who you are miss jay. i feel so deeply for the students in cosmetology that have to deal with the unprofessional bully of a teacher! i am so proud of you for persevering! i'm so glad you didn't let anything stop you or bring you down. you deserve to work in a field you enjoy and love. regardless of others opinions and hurtful words. isabella was 17 years old while she was in cosmetology school. she turned 18 the last week that she was in that school. she was the youngest girl in that class and was so mistreated. just like so many other students that have had miss jay as a teacher.
If you are thinking about the cosmetology program run! Go anywhere but here!!! I personally went to another school for cosmetology and we actually worked on clients for a solid year. We practiced each week on human models. These poor kids coming out of this program didn’t cut many people’s hair all year and some didn’t cut any hair. They keep the building locked up like Fort Knox so clients can’t walk-in. (Covid is over) Then they are expected to pass the test at the end and join the work force feeling confident. I feel like we wasted a year of our life and too much money on this horrible program. Who goes to trade school and doesn’t even Learn the trade. Save your money and watch online videos. That’s basically what you get here. The teachers bully the kids and never let the kids know how many hours they really have. It’s a mess go anywhere but here. We will be making an appointment to talk to the school about this terrible program. Very dissatisfied in the teachers someone should audit this class for a year and see for themselves. I’m having to edit my review now that we are having more trouble. The cosmetology program has a a teacher that targets certain children and has held the grades and hasn’t turned them into the state. We had a meeting where she claims it’s in a pending state and she will go ahead and send them in. We had to take our practical exam in Little Rock to have a fair and unbiased teacher grade her exam and she passed!! She would have never passed in Malvern with her teacher. It’s a sad world isn’t it…
Whatever you do don't go to the nursing program here the teachers don't care about the students unless you are apart of their group they gossip about your grades to other students they bend the rules for the ones they like it's almost as if they want you to fail it's so weird but that my experience here
From my experience I think that College Of The Ouachitas has the best truck driver training in the state.Mr Scott the Instructor is very professional trainer I passed my class a driving test the first time at state police, because i had good training.
I went to ASU - Three Rivers when it was known as College of the Ouachitas. The school may be small but the faculty and staff truly care about their students. The education I received here prepared me for the workforce.
The Practical Nursing program at COTO is great! The instructors are working nurses that understand what it's like to be in the field and in the classroom at the same time. The classes and Clinicals allow for one on one questions if needed. At COTO you're a name, a person, not just another tuition fee.
Terrible service. I would not recommend. The service was reported over and over to the president to no avail. Students were underserved. Calls were not returned. Sad state of affairs at that school. Improvement was not on the list of to-dos.
