I attended South, I began the LPN program summer 2024. My original instructors were phenomenal, they supported you and were very personable. But as my time went on, nothing stayed consistent. In 1 10-week quarter, I had 4 instructors for 1 class. They all taught differently, so it was hard to stay on track. The personable feeling with the Instructors went away. They started hiring anyone that had or was going to school for their masters. Clinical instructors kept leaving so we ended up at the school for clinical, which ended up not being anything about the clinical. The Dean brushed you off if you had any struggles, there were very few staff that actually cared about the students and tried helping as much as they could. I was told they don't allow exam retakes becaise it's an accelerated program, but knew multiple students that got to retake exams multiple times.

My experience with the faculty, particularly in the nursing department, was extremely disappointing. There is a serious lack of diversity and inclusivity, and at times, I felt like I didn’t belong. The environment was unwelcoming, and I believe the department as a whole needs significant reform. If you’re considering a nursing program, I strongly recommend looking into CCAC or Carlow instead. Don’t waste your time or energy in a space that doesn’t support all students equally.

I am a student here and the faculty is PHENOMENAL. Not only that, but they are very quick to help with any questions, and very helpful for any accommodations one might need for success.

DO NOT GO HERE. This school is HORRIBLE. They also are not accredited, nd they left students without a professor as well. Then they got Deb, the surg tech teacher, who taught me not one thing. They also made a bunch of us sit in front of the accreditation people and lie to them about how great the school is just so they could get accredited. Go to Carlow OR CCAC. This school will just try to take your money and not teach you anything. CCAC has an amazing program and is wayyyyy cheaper. Also, if you go to this school and want to transfer, none of your credits will transfer. DO NOT GO HERE. These people advertise and try to get people in just to take their money.

Almost impossible to contact, no one answers the phone with direct extensions. Even the main line, and admissions, doesn't answer the phone.
