My husband and I just met a couple who attends your school they had a blowout to the lake we never exchanged names but we want to say we hope they got home safely and to get back to school safely this week. You produce smart kids we hope we cross paths with these smart kids again.
My daughter is currently in her 1st year and in the dorms, bringing her home because of plumbing issues-yep no water! Cannot even pee where she is living! Last time needed to shower in another dorm! 2nd time!
Administration has hit a new low in quality. 80% money grab over just a few decades ago. Parking is also outrageous, little to no review process, with tickets given freely curb to curb. Avoid this campus.
As visitor prospective, this campus seems small and limited spaces but views are beautiful, designed areas are not easy to find and understand, campus polices seem aggressive in patrol which could be better safety or too many issues around campus
Bad reviews are from people that couldn't cut it. Yes we spent about the same as CU but an engineering degree from Mines is worth about 4 times more over a lifetime career. It's difficult but if it wasn't would it be worth it?
School of Mines! ♥️ Thank you for a warm welcome, organized to the T for the Pathfinder Conference.
Great academics, but questionable management. Mines was able to prepare me for a great career and the professors are great, but the administration/management seems to be very intent on wasting money on projects that do not need to be done. They destroyed half of Mines Park to redo twenty-year-old student housing that did not need to be torn down. They are constantly tearing down and rebuilding buildings that do not need to be torn down. I worry for the endowment of this school, as they are clearly not using it effectively.
The school would not give me transcripts directly; I had to use "Parchment," an online service that is very difficult to use, and rarely works. The school has become lazy and outsourced this service, even though alumni as myself have spent tens of thousands of dollars attending this place.
An amazing small campus that allows you to walk to anywhere in Golden.
Excellent mineral museum that specializes in Colorado minerals.
