Commonwealth University - Mansfield

What great staff!! Simply left a few messages about scheduling a last minute tour of the University, and everyone returned my call. Complements to all! I highly recommend taking a tour if you have anyone considering higher education in your family. I am an alumni and enjoyed attending this University and my daughter Hope's to attend soon. Many degrees offered and great staff. Freshman dorms are very nice. Wonderful town and surrounding areas. Visit!!!!

On Friday September 6 I was passing through Mansfield my way to Rochester. I was supposed to meet my sister in town for lunch at noon but arrived way too early so I went to the campus for a self-guided tour and to kill some time in the process. A woman on campus gave me directions to the visitor lot. I went in to the admissions building and got a pass. I put the pass in my car and went exploring with my cameras. This campus sits on the side of a hill and it is very scenic especially in the fall. The campus marquee building is the library. I visited the upper floors and the staff was very accommodating in letting me take pictures out their windows. Very hilly campus. By the end of the first semester everybody will be in great shape. Bring a sled in the winter.

New experience for me…sprint football! Just like regular football but players might at all be under 178 pounds. Interesting fact…it’s been around prior to WWII. It was a great deal of fun and pretty good football!! People should definitely check it out, particularly if they live in the surrounding area! Inexpensive for the whole family and they have a concession stand. I will definitely be back!

Steadman Theatre at Commonwealth University of Mansfield is an outstanding venue for performing arts. The acoustics are excellent, ensuring that every performance is heard with crystal clarity. The seating is comfortable, with a great view of the stage from nearly every seat in the house. Parking is convenient and plentiful, making it easy to attend events without the hassle of searching for a spot. The surrounding area is beautiful, adding to the overall experience of visiting the theatre.

Nothing in this town to do . College lied about cost and what they had to offer and more.Put on a big show to get students, But not even close to the promises made. Plus it's state owed and combined now with other colleges.Not what my daughter signed up for. Athletes given priority over classes which was a big thing we were yold would not happen!

The small campus is beautiful with the surrounding trees, safe in a tiny town, and makes you feel at home..even if your home is no where near it. I've applied to eleven PA schools, excepted to ten, but MU easily made the cut. Can't wait to start MU in just a few weeks!

MU will forever be a second home to me. I will never forget the friends I met there and the times we shared. Truly a hidden gem that has no comparison. I know it is cliche but the phrase "You're more than just a number here," is more true at MU than any other school I have visited. The professors and staff know you and care about you. I cannot recommend this place enough. Proud member of the class of 2012!

We had a great experience touring the campus. They are in the middle of tearing down the old dorms so there is a lot of construction going on, but the green space planned for the area will be a great addition.

Horrible. My daughter was given classes too advanced for her and she even worked with a tutor and it didn't help. Her advisor was more concerned about being a friend and worrying about trips with students. Knowing she was out of school for almost 2 years instead of helping her to get back into it they took our money with no problem and then kicked her out. Professors make racist comments and sexual comments and this is how they want to run a school? As long as they get their money.

Absolutely amazing! Was able to make my daughter's graduation a wonderful memory. The ceremony was fantastic. Thank you to all of Mansfield University staff.

I would not encourage anyone to attend Mansfield University. I was given promises of "job placement assistance," only to find that after graduation, this aforementioned assistance turned out to be a book with job leads, much like you'd find …

We went to the Loomis Art Gallery in Allen Hall on Campus. The building was a bit difficult to find. The signage was not very clear. However once at the gallery we very much enjoyed the Master & Grasshopper exhibit.

What a pretty campus. I graduated from here and have taught here over the years. Good place! Good students! Nice environment.

Love this place! Great student accommodations, gorgeous views, safe campus, affordable, high quality education with professors that know your name, and administrators that care:)
