South Seattle College

06/18/23: South Seattle College is a great college with a spacious educational environment and experienced faculties. I live on their campus with many trees and plants, especially their beautiful and gorgeous Arboretum and Seattle Chinese Garden. I would recommend these two famous locations to anyone

Peaceful neighborhood setting. Beautiful plants and trees in bloom in and around the campus.

I received the worst treatment by the workers at the school. Community College is a business and if you can't treat your consumers fairly then might as well shut down. Go to Central, that's where everything has better standards. Something went wrong with the Physics and Calculus structure that were re-designed from exams into awkward quizzes and the lack of lectures. Honor Roll Dean's List 2 times in a row anyways. Peace out.

Being a veteran I do not feel this school cared about my needs to go back to school. Staff never once emailed me back when they said they would. I even went in person to submit my transcripts and I still haven’t heard a peep from anyone. I get that the state is a liberal state but wow that’s how you treat veterans around here?

In 2021 I tried speaking to advisors several times about getting enrolled into classes and they were very unhelpful. Wasted so much time to the point where I ended up going to Bellevue College instead. The advisors were blaming their laziness on covid but I think they just didn't want to do their job..

I have loved coming to this school. All my experience with teachers has been amazing, and almost all the staff has been great to work with, with exception to your average grouch here and there. I strongly recommend this school for those wanting to come back to school after an extended break from any sort of education. There is a good mix of straight out of high schoolers and older folks trying to get some education for a better job. If you are thinking about going back to school, give it a try.

Fix your fast chargers and allow access at night and I’ll bring my rating back up to 5 stars. Until then 1 star

Modern community college, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This delicious Roasted chicken with Mashed parsnips and deliciously roasted carrots was sold at the college; made by the culinary students. So much food and not a lot of money for the amount received. The chefs in training design the dishes and execute the plates to perfection. Check it out!

Good teachers so far. I had to switch from their diesel program to their AMT program since they had to rework their diesel program, which stopped them from accepting new students for a while year. Disappointing that my only option was wait another year to start school or switch programs. I wish they had better designated smoking locations. I have asthma and it's hard walking around campus with smokers every few feet.
