Not one person picking up through Financial Aid. There NEEDS to be more reps in the office.. don’t plan of releasing documents to students to then not expect and influx of calls. Absolutely crazy.. UPDATE: In the Advising Dept. (Extension 1240), when attempting to call this morning, I was rudely answered by a lady over the phone stating “What WHAT WHO is this… I’m not”.. and then proceeded to give my name and the reason for the call, to then hear her say “Who are you?! Uh… huh.. No No.. BYE”. Extremely rude, so feel to call that extension if you want to be rudely talked to.
Spent 310 dollars now with the reschedule fee for the MSF BRC 2 wheel course, which has gone up 100 dollars in price from previous year. I was not given direction to where the class would be conducted and had to call security to find out where it was and pulled in 4 minutes late due to this. Not even 5 not 10 but 4 minutes late riders weren’t even on the bikes yet but was told “class had started” which I guarantee would’ve had zero impact and included nothing I don’t already know. On top of that the instructor told me he usually lets people off the hook but because his boss was there he had to turn me away. This class also didn’t have more than 8-10 people in it. I work 60-90 hour weeks and got today and tomorrow to leave early and was shown absolutely no leniency over 4 minutes and im now forced to do the soonest class which disrupts my schedule even more. Long story those instructing this class clearly have sticks up their asses and gain some ego boost with the little amount of control they wield and I recommend you stray from the Lincoln campus for your field test.
I went there and I wasted my time with my CCRI Workforce Development programs aren’t paid and they don’t even guarantee you a job at all now. They take your RI DLT WOIA money and then you get nothing afterwards then. IT’S A HUGE SCAM FOREVER!
Best school in RI. My biased opinion . Great location. Tons of parking affordable classes. The teachers are not only that but mentors to me. I idolize each and every one of them. They are true professionals as are all the staff. Love ❤️ my school 💯 . …
Great school with some great teachers, highly recommended. The chefs always cook good food, prices are a bit high, but it's normal college prices. The security group at this location are always visible and promote safety for everyone.
Don't waste your time going here for the Radiography program etc., go to RIC or a better college with less hoops to jump through. This school has been very unprofessional for years with the program they offer. No one knows nothing, it's a big run around! They use an outside testing site called Pearson vue which is the most unprofessional site I have ever delt with. You pay to take this test! The person monitoring your test, doesn't explain anything & also many interruptions while time is still going. Almost all the material on this test is never been taught to you in any of the prerequisite giving by CCRI. The Pearson site gives you practice test that don't help you prepare for the test. It's all smoking mirrors. My money wasted down the drain. Lots of years wasted on this program. I'm a single mom looking to get a better career. However CCRI just cares only about taking money from students. I believe who ever picks the candidates for the program is probably someone they know.
I initially loved this school back when I enrolled in 2015. Everything was going great until my older brother died in 2017 from an opioid overdose before the Fall 2017 semester They call it "community" college even though I was having a breakdown and no one intervened instead of two academic counselors. Fast forward to April 15th this year, I became homeless by having to leave the home due to domestic violence. Thank God there was a social worker employed within the last six months or I would have been completely forgotten about. The president who "cares so deeply" about her students never reached out to me nor did most of the deans. Dean Cunningham helped, but it was mostly the social worker who did all the emergency housing placements. I was at an anonymous shelter sleeping on a dirty couch and not ONCE did any higher-up reach out to me. I can say a handful of faculty members were extremely helpful (Linda Benvenuti, Liz Parent, Karen Kortz, and Isabel Trombetti, Amanda Vanner) but the officials at this college couldn't care less about their students. I am not proud I received my diploma from a school that would have left me to rot if it weren't for Shanna and Carlene who also work at CCRI saving my life. The 3.7 GPA I've worked so hard for is insignificant to the administrative members. Oh, what about academics? They are fine. Just don't get into multiple crises because you are on your own. If you want "community" go to URI or anything other than CCRI. You actually mean something in those places. Cheers!!!
Don't be fooled by the Community College stereotypes. CCRI is a great school with some great professors in every area. Learn the same information as you would at URI and RIC for a fraction of the price. Ignore the earlier review. It really makes no sense in idea or grammatical structure. Cheers!
No support. Can never see an advisor in person “Appt only” but there’s never any appts available.
Amazing professor that help you every chance they can. Some of the greatest and most professional yet understanding professors I've had the opportunity to learn from.
