Overview

UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus has served the lakeshore of eastern Wisconsin for more than 50 years, helping generations of students to start their path toward a bachelor’s degree. Nestled on 40 acres along the breathtaking Lake Michigan shoreline, the Manitowoc Campus offers hands-on instruction from internationally respected professors and a start on more than 200 academic programs within the UW System. Community members enjoy concerts and lectures, attend art and theater performances and cheer for their favorite athletic teams. Great place to get a start on your college education. I was able to take classes here during high school for college credit. 100% worth it. Class sizes weren't bad and teachers were fair. It's a great way to get some credits at a cheap cost before transferring to a larger campus to complete your four year. Even if you're looking for a big city campus do some credits here to save some cash. Cant recommend enough.

Now part of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, this is a great local campus for starting your college education. As recent analyses have shown, the name (prestige) of the university you graduate from has much less to do with your career success then does the quality of education you receive. My personal experience indicates that this campus offers a quality education. One of the hardest (and one of the better) courses I ever took (microeconomics) was at this campus (it was also the only course I took here) as part of my MBA program at Oshkosh - and I am a graduate of the University of Michigan (which everyone knows is way better than the University of Wisconsin - Madison). So you can waste money at a supposedly more prestigious university or save a big chunk of change and transfer to that same (prestigious)university for the final two years. Your diploma will look the same.
