If anyone is considering EASTERN VA CAREER COLLEGE….. DO NOT! They truly are the most disorganized, rude, disrespectful organization I have ever dealt with!!!!! 1) Had an appointment with Sarah a week ahead of time and they call night before telling me director of nursing is going to be out for next 4 days, can you reschedule 2) ok rescheduled IN HER TIME FRAME and show up at college and doors locked. While im attempting to call a student was walking out and opens door and we tell her why we are here and she says oh yes her office is right here ( directly beside door we were knocking on, so she was ignoring us) she seats us 3 feet max from Mrs. Ora is here name tells her we are here for our 5pm scheduled appt and the lady who opens doors says ok she knows and will be with you shortly. So we are sitting in waiting room and we here her typing, on phone, rustling through papers all the while we are literally 3 feet from her office and she hears us talking. WE WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR ANY TYPE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND GOT NOTHING SO WE JUST LEFT!!!!! DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!

EVCC is accredited by SCHEV, COE and ACCSC. I can’t say enough about the quality of the education here. The esthetics program covers the full spectrum—from foundational skincare techniques in the Basic Esthetics track to advanced modalities like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and lymphatic drainage in the Master Esthetics curriculum. They are working hard to bring in laser, microneedling and cosmetic injectables training for nurses and physicians. What sets EVCC apart is their commitment to staying current and hands‑on. The new 3rd edition Milady Advanced Esthetics textbook, in use before any other school nearby, ensures that students receive cutting-edge training. The instructors boast a combined 75 years of experience—70 at the Master/Medical level—and their deep real-world knowledge shines through in every lesson. You just cannot get that level of understanding from just a textbook. Hands-on learning is a constant throughout the program. From brow mapping with precision tools, dermaplaning, microcurrent non-surgical face lifting, to creative henna design and therapeutic body wraps, every class is an immersive experience. You develop confidence and skill across a range of esthetic services. Plus, they bring guest experts in—like brow business pros—and form partnerships with brands like European Wax Centre, Circadia, Skin Script, Bioelements, Jane Iredale, Muse, Image and Salon Centric, giving students product familiarity and insider insight. If you’re serious about launching an esthetics career in Virginia, EVCC delivers. Their small classes, seasoned instructors, up-to-date curriculum, and real-world practice prepare you to graduate as a confident, skilled professional. Master students with a basic license can even "earn-as-they-learn" with contractor opportunities in The Spa at Eastern Highly recommended!

Overall my experience with this school was a good one. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable & I met so many new girlfriends in the classroom. There was an issue with the Aesthetics professor in 2007 when I was enrolled at the school, she had some personal issues going on at home & had brought it into the classroom and it interrupted her teaching but the situation was quickly resolved and two new aesthetic professors were put in her place. The aesthetics course ended up being such a wonderful learning experience and I have learned so much. Thank you Career Training Solutions for giving me a foundation to learn and grow from. Now I am on my way to become a " Master Aesthetician" with another 600 hours and will be able to work for a plastic surgeon soon in my career and combine my love of aesthetics with my passion for the medical field.

I attended the school from 2013-2014. The staff and management were very professional and caring. I graduated, found a job quickly as well as most of my classmates. I finished my medical assistant course, the school assisted me with getting certified and continuously sent me jobs and leads. Don't be discouraged by immature or problematic people. All the serious and dedicated people that I've seen go to this school have found work. I'm actually planning on going back for another program.

I recommend the RN program 100%. Great school and knowledgeable instructors. Took my NCLEX within 3weeks of graduating and passed! They definitely prepare you to be a successful nurse. Words of advice based on my experience here: The RN program is VERY FAST PACED. Please do not think you will succeed in the program while working full time or even part time work depending on your type of work or depending on what you can handle academically. Other parts of your life will likely suffer as well...family, personal and health. Lastly, this is an expensive program. So if you don’t have the time to dedicate, you will end up wasting your time and money. However, in the end, it’s so worth it! You will be in and out so quickly, you won’t realize what hit you until you have graduated. But again, so worth it!! Go for it! You can do it! Dedicate time, put some luxury on hold and stay on course, it’s possible!!

I attended this school for their nursing program in 2016 and I'm giving 4\5 stars for my personal experience. Most of the instructors were really great. They really cared about teaching us and made sure that we left understanding what was taught that day. Of course, there was a few instructors where we had to teach ourselves but I feel like you will get that with any school you go to. Another pro I'd like to add is that they give you TONS of resources to study and learn because they really don't want you to fail. I felt like this school gave everyone a fair chance to pass, but I also felt like some of the students shouldn't have been allowed to stay; they are almost too forgiving with their students. Another piece of advice I'd like to add is DO NOT TAKE YOUR PREREQUISITES AT THIS SCHOOL. IT IS COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RETAKE THEM WHEN YOU WANT TO GET YOUR BSN. The credits will not transfer unless their accreditation changes.

!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!! I went to this school for the Medical Assisting Program and once I finished did not help me at all with getting a job. Promise you all this stuff and finding a job but once you cash in your last payment it is over. I had to wait 6 months to graduate REALLY?? Who would want to come back half a year later to walk across the stage ? Also students who case trouble get to stay while the victim is send home and has to miss class so unfair. Please don't pick this school for being a MA or Nursing.

This school is terrible! It has horrible administration, horrendous teachers and it's a total waste of money! They will sabotage you if they don't like you and I'm not saying if you do something wrong they won't like you, I'm saying if they don't like how you look they will sabotage you. Save yourself the stress and money by running away!
