Very nice people, students and employees. I went visiting with my baby, and had a good welcoming experience.
One of the best professors there was Joseph Kroger.
If you are Asian, a person of conscience or are looking for a Catholic education, look elsewhere to continue your studies. This place exists for rich white liberals. All of the students and staff seem to be deeply unhappy.
I had a lot of good times here but I think overall they fail to support anyone who doesn't fall into the white-cis-upper middle-class norm. As a trans person the college culture was frequently physically unsafe for me. The school also made my life VERY difficult when I didn't have stable housing.
My child has been having a great experience at St Michael's -- dedicated staff, many good professors, welcoming community, lots of extra curricular opportunities for growth, and a religious presence that is not overbearing but instead exemplary of service, acceptance, and support.
I transferred to Saint Mike's after studying two semesters at Vermont Technical College, and the difference is huge. I know tuition difference is huge too, but it's worth it. From professors, staff to students, the library, and classes, everything is great. A best experience!!
this school only cares about money not it’s students. i can’t even count how many issues i have had at this school with faculty. it is extremely liberal and i got an very biased education. i really liked some of my professors like John Izzi and Pauline Jennings, but unfortunately i cant say that they represent the whole of the college, however they made my experience there so much better.
The place is like a technical college spread out and boring. The dormitories are ran down And house Administrative offices and certain functions are housed in the basementsof the dorms. This place has really gone downhill over the years there’s a lot better opportunity for education out there. I would classify it as a Catholic party college
Saint Michaels Colllege accepted me as a non-traditional veteran student, with open arms. As a 35 year old, I have traveled extensively and interacted with diverse communities. I believe wholeheartedly that SMC is inclusive and strives for excellence and fairness where it is due, creating fairness for a wide range of situations. Being inclusive. For example, SMC approved my waiver which was requesting an increase in the allottment of transferable credits towards my credit evaluation, as a transfer student. For SMC to respond to my request in the fashion that they did, was simply, above and beyond. Further, having interacted with several professors, I genuinely feel immersed and surrounded by knowledgeable subject matter experts who really are passionate about their expertise, but more importantly the community, at large. Each of my professors approached me and took the time to befriend me, again going the extra mile. It's not everyday you find a genuinely, passionate, caring, and responsive community. And for what it is worth to anyone reading this, nobody asked me to write this, I wasn't incentivized in any way, I just wanted give homage where it is due. These people won my respect. If your a veteran seeking a valuable college experience after having transitioned out of the military, I would encourage you to consider SMC.
The teachers here are all very friendly. The meals provided by the school cafeteria are delicious.
