There’s nothing wrong with the school, the teachers, or the students. But the financial aid office? That’s another story. They don’t take students’ situations seriously, so think twice before enrolling here. my brother and I had very negative experiences with Dr. Joy D. Thomas. In our view, she acted unprofessionally and did not treat us fairly. We would caution other students to be careful when dealing with her.

PVAMU colors are gold and purple. I purchased this patch. It was a waste of money. Doesn’t show up well as well as not PV colors

PV prepared me so well. When I got to Dental School I was able to use my notes from PV to help me better understand, and help my classmates!!!!! I’ve been practicing for 18 years now. Thank you Prairie View A & M University, THANK YOU

Definitely a well maintained campus with excellent staff and facilities

DO NOT ATTEND OR SEND ANYBODY THAT YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! The campus police and surrounding area of Waller County is one of the worst places you can send your child. The campus police are very unprofessional and racially profile anybody that doesn’t fit the Waller County standards. If you want your child to receive an education without the worries of Police profiling, assaulting or murdering then THIS IS NOT THE SCHOOL TO ATTEND. Sandra Bland was murdered in the same county jail where this school is located and nothing has changed or been done to ensure the safety of our children and loved ones who attend or work here. My family will no longer be associated with this campus and I will NOT recommend a single person to come here. The campus police and surrounding police, are preying on the faculty/student body and their families whenever they feel like it. If this isn’t enough, just tour the campus and you’ll see exactly what I am talking about. The safety of the people on campus is not their concern or focus.

In 2023, I went on a tour as a potential student. Security threatened me when I was trying to find parking. Then another one at the food court. Even the tour guide threatened me for no reason. I gave feedback about it to the university but they didn’t even take the time to reply. When it was time to go home, they followed me to my car for no reason.

I attended a summer program here as a high school student and got exposure to the health care field early. This institution has a lot of opportunities to offer the students as long as you take advantage of it. Honestly PVAMU makes you feel like family.

My sister attends PVAMU and she is very happy there. I have visited her several times and see a new part of the campus each time I go. The campus is nice, but there is not much around the University that is walking distance, besides a Subway. Luckily, Houston is only 45 mins away.

It's beautiful. We got to visit on a rainy Saturday everything was closed luckily an employee was there on his day off catching up on work. He showed us one of the dorm they have as an example. We loved the cleanliness of the University inside out.

Prairie View A&M University molded me into the young woman I am today. I appreciate this institution of higher education for providing me the resources to graduate and creating opportunities for myself. Beautiful campus and people are around this lovely HBCU.
