FAU is a great school. It has a beautiful campus with vibrant students. The University has great alumni along with a great sports program
Pros: The people are low-key fancy and friendly. Most of the staff speaks Spanish. The premises are often neat and up to date. The area is fresh and breezy. Cons: this campus needs more shade trees like yesterday.
Just another shady college in sunny Florida. They’re currently destroying its “protected” campus owl preserves to put up a parking lot. Pretty ironic their mascot is the Owls..
Florida Atlantic University, located in Boca Raton, Florida, is a dynamic public institution known for its beautiful campus, academic diversity, and strong community spirit. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, especially recognized for its business
Applied to ARNP program, college of nursing interviewing board lacks diversity, I was told I was going to hear the answer regarding admission in March. I had to call 5 times to be see why I have not received an answer. Lack of respect for applicants. FAU put diversity on your board of nursing admissions. I have a GPA of 3.80. ICU nurse by trade, been a nurse for 15 years.Tell me where my merit is lagging?
Price is not worth the education. Learned nothing in 4 years for a piece of paper. Online professors teach nothing. They just grade the work. Should probably just fire them all and let the system grade everything. I mean this is all about the money right? Poor companies and colleges deserve to be called out. And youre a greedy college. I noticed there was no actual response to my allegations, probably because you know im correct. Thanks for nothing again.
The campus was easy to get to from Orlando. Signs were clear on where to park on arrival. The facilities itself were beautiful. Everyone was very helpful and went out of there way to help with questions. I’m glad my daughter will be attending school here in the fall!
words simply do not do justice to how abysmal this university is so hopefully the attached picture will help add another thousands words to illustrate what a cautionary dead end trap this place is... we've all heard the public sector stereotypes but for the student body to be as aware as we are of the cancerous environment that plagues this alleged place of higher learning is truly remarkable. just read the other reviews posted here about the experiences we've had with the various unbelievable staff; it's not just the faculty that are appalled by the administration however there's even a few bad apples from the teaching side now too it sounds like depending on what college you are taking your chances and tempting fate.... hate to be cliche, but stay away from here talented peoples -- the rumors are indeed sad but true about "Find Another University" :(
I’ve been a student here for a year already. I came here because I would think a University would have better advisors, and be a better organized school. Well I was wrong. Every financial aid advisor, academic advisor, etc all tell you different information. You’re literally on your own. Don’t count on the employees of the school to provide you with any reliable information. I don’t recommend anyone to waste their money on a school that doesn’t even provide the correct information for their students. Better of attending a local college, because it will be the same thing. Save your money.
Great professors and mentors for your future career. Can’t wait for my masters.
