The Sandhills Community College Horticulture Gardens is a great little botanical Garden in Moore County. They have a great diversity of plants and interpretation. It's also a great place because the gardens are a place of learning for the community college students, they do a great job with the maintenance and the plant sales

Great community college! I drive in from Sanford 4 times a week bc of the atmosphere here. It’s very friendly, and the teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. You get more of a university feel without the high stress atmosphere. Another nice thing is there’s more diversity of ages. Not everyone is right out of high school, I’m in my 30s and going for my second associates degree. The campus is well taken care of, and kept up to date.

I love sandhills. I've taken a lot of classes here and drove an hour to campus everyday because it was that great. I moved away and regret it so much! Would recommend this school to everyone. Everyone is so nice, it's a quiet and fun campus. I cant complain about anything, all the professors are nice as well.

Great school. Took some summer classes to transfer to my school. Great instructors and staff. Facilities were clean and very well maintained. I would probably transfer here if I lived closer.

SCC has a beautiful campus in a quiet almost rural setting with a progressive town nearby. It is easy to access from several directions. I have known many students there. They all have positive statements about their experiences there. The Chancellor has a very positive reputation and is loved by the students and community. My daughter tried 2 other community colleges before going here. She loved SCC. When it was time to move on to an University she was sad to be leaving SCC. I would recommend it to anyone. Also visitors and students alike should make a point to visit the gardens. They have a collection of unusual plants and a beautiful rose garden that is worth seeing.

Surprised at just how outstanding this beautiful place could be! Frank selected this college and at first I had serious concerns but then I met Dr. Stroman and everything turned around. Frank has autism thus change is quite difficult but Dr. Stroman, Dr. Clark, Mrs. Allen, and Mrs. Weaver have turned his determined to go to college high school varsity jock into a dedicated, motivated college student. The Tutoring Center managed by Dr. Russell is excellent and has helped him tremendously with understanding what assignments he has to do, the instructions for the assignments, and provided him a note taker for class who goes over his notes with him to insure understanding. As you know with autism, oral language understanding is very difficult and very hard so this extra help makes all the difference in the world. He studies 5 to 6 hours a day because the work is college level and is not modified in any way but he is so happy to be a freshman student at Sandhills. He loves this college and mom is thrilled!!!
