This is the most amazing university on an incredible campus. The school puts a lot of effort into making this a beautiful and safe place!

Avoid this collage at all cost! You get what you pay for with this cheap collage: terrible quality classes and support. The LDS church should be ashamed of what this "university" is turning into. This should not be considered a university, it is a continuation of high school with how fake and useless the classes that are available as well as most of the students. The BYU-Idaho educational system is broken and unfair to the students; especially those who have a medical condition with a physical or mental disability. This university is a religion university more than an educational university, with their mindset of making religion a requirement in order to graduate, rather than a personal choice. There are very few courses available that actually are transferable to other colleges and the courses that are available, forcing students to only graduate from this university or drop out due to having to start over somewhere else. This university completely ignores my medical needs and provide basically no accommodations. The BYU-IDAHO approved housing doesn't care about any disability or providing any accommodations for my health. Because of the lack of support and resources, my health declined very rapidly ever since living here. There is no communication with BYU and my living situational needs. I had to get a handicap parking pass just to park closer to my apartment and classes on campus. Even with a handicap parking pass, it was impossible to even find an open parking spot. The atmosphere here is also toxic. If you aren't perfect, or rich, or an overachiever with multiple jobs, you don't belong here. If you have any disability, your needs are ignored, and are ashamed for not regularly attending church and FHE. Religion should be a personal choice, not a requirement. The administration and councilors are teenagers with no clue with how to resolve issues or help through situations. There are also no mental health councilors available and even require a minimum of 6 credits to even be seen or pay out of pocket to be seen...pathetic. The BYU Independent Study is even more of a joke with very few courses available and very poor tutoring... I'm disappointed with the lack of support for medical conditions and needs. Im also very disappointed in the on campus housing and the fact that BYU-I accepted too many students and now its basically impossible to graduate from here or even transfer out... No wonder people are dropping out of this college. Thanks for screwing my life up BYU... I know I'm not the only one. From talking to at least a handful of other students that went here, most are regretting coming here and not recommending it at all.

I went to BYU-Idaho 10 years ago now, and after taking all of this time to heal, I am finally writing a review. The school is absolutely toxic. I left an overbearing strict household, and moved to... an even more overbearing strict environment. On the first day during orientation, they literally tell you to snitch on your roommates if they're not living the Honor Code, after all, we are our brother's keeper. The people are judgmental and not at all accepting. Sexual assault and harassment is through the roof with hardly any accountability. Never have I ever been treated this way since leaving this place. Parents - if you're looking for a balance of safety and space for your children to be who they are and find a sense of self... look elsewhere!

I have been at BYU-I for two years now. Here is what I honestly think. 1. Housing: I overpaid for housing for rooms and apartments that were expensive, had no amenities, or even let you park on the premises. You can get off-campus housing for cheaper, but it won't allow you to live off campus... a scam. They'll also evict you when you are struggling, and you will be homeless, and they won't help you, nor will they care. 2. People: For people who preach love and acceptance, you get judged and sexually assaulted.... that's not love. The people here harbor hatred and jealousy. 3. Teachers: Do you have a disability? They don't care, they'll fail you. You're working a full-time job to pay for school? Don't care, they'll fail you. There's no acceptance or help. 4. Financial aid: They'll take away your scholarship mid-semester, and then you are left with debt and sent to the collectors. I cannot hate this school even more than I do already. It's miserable. I hate this place. If you are low-income and have no family to help you, you will be screwed over multiple times in more ways than one.

BYU-Idaho is the most amazing place. Faculty, staff, and administration are all incredibly kind and have a desire to make the university the best that it can be. Incredible return on investment. Rexburg is friendly, safe, and it feels like home. BYU-Idaho and everyone committed to it's mission go all out for the students to have the best experience possible. The Spirit of Ricks influences everyone who comes here. There is a light and feeling of happiness here that exists nearly nowhere else.

Buy-I is a fantastic school with a fantastic campus. One of the things I love most about it is that the campus isn’t huge so it is pretty easy to go from class to class and be in time. Some may find that the dress codes and standards are high, which they are, but I think this is what sets those who are serious about getting a great education here apart. I would highly recommend anyone to this school. Grateful that I have had the opportunity to study here.

This school is a complete joke. They say they are all about Christ and his teaching but won’t help you when you actually need help. I’ve been screwed over more by this “Christ-Centered” school than any other corporation. This isn’t the school for you unless you’re perfect and have enough money. You ask to speak to adult and they make you talk to some 20 year old who lives off daddy’s dime. I have been at the school for years and they have done nothing but put roadblocks in my way. Go to any other school, save yourself the pain and heartache of being treated like an idiot. “Christ-Centered” is the biggest lie I’ve been told.

At first, this was the last school I ever wanted to attend — it had done nothing but bless my life!!! I love BYUI and would tell anyone to come here. No matter what friend group you’re looking for, it’s here; and more than that, you’ll make friends from all different backgrounds with all different interests because everyone is so friendly. The class sizes are small which is amazing!!!! And the professors really care about their students individually. HIGHLY recommend!

The best of the teachers, the best policies and the most affordable tuition and housing. There are nice places for camping and having fun. All the tutors and extra help from the school is for free if you show willingness and responsibility. If you are interested you can pm me and I'll be more than willing to let you know about everything that BYUI has to offer you.
