We are wrapping up a great run at St. Joe’s!! Our son is completing his MBA after receiving his undergrad last spring while having played for the mens soccer team throughout. The entire experience was excellent! From the quality of the education, caliber of the athletic program, friendships made, growth as a person, support of the coaches and admin staff, and last but not least the beautiful location. I would recommend St. Joe’s to any student seeking these attributes. Go Monks!
Love everything about this school! Such a welcoming and supportive community with an absolutely beautiful campus.
Our daughter transferred to Saint Joseph's for her sophomore year from a large university out west. She chose SJC because it offered the major she was interested in and gave her the ability to participate in a Division III sport, alpine skiing. She has had nothing but a positive experience! The academics have been a great fit for her, she has made great friends and has enjoyed the camaraderie of the ski team. The overall atmosphere of academics and athletics has exceeded our expectations. The professors are very attentive, and the ski team coaching staff has been amazing. To top it off, you can't beat the beautiful close knit campus on Sebago lake.
We have a daughter who is currently a sophomore on campus. Our son now has decided to attend St Joe's next September. Once we walked on campus, met staff and current students, both our kids decided right then that's where they would be attending. Both play LAX, and after meeting with Coach Keenan for the girls and Coach Cosentino for the boys, both our kids felt welcomed. They had found a second home to play LAX and get a great education . As parents, we love the safety the campus offers and the close knit community, so we couldn't have been more pleased when our son decided to attend also! Such a beautiful campus on the lake makes visits enjoyable every single time. Sincerely, Kevin and Richelle Wesley Massachusetts
St. Joseph's College strikes a great balance of providing their students with a top notch education along with an outstanding athletic program. I can't say enough good things about the family orientated, student first culture the College, Athletic Department and specifically, the Women's Alpine Ski and Lacrosse team coaches provide our daughter and her teammates. We strongly recommend Saint Joseph's College to anyone looking for a great education while pursuing their passion for top notch athletics!
St. Joseph's College is a hidden gem in the State of Maine. I am so grateful for my time at SJC, and for the connections I formed with the wonderfully supportive community that wraps their arms around the college, as well as the athletics programs, particularly the women's basketball program. The networking and outreach that this small college in Maine has afforded me in my career and life has made me even more grateful for my decision to attend so many years ago.
A college experience that embraces community of peers. My son is a student participating on both the alpine ski team and lacrosse team. We can’t not be more grateful for the opportunities and experiences St. Joes has provided to our entire family!
I really like that SJC has many activities for seniors! Offerings such as Silver Sneakers live, zoom, and pool groups are exercise parties with a blast of fun and camaraderie! Excellent teachers move, motivate and make us coming back for more delightful fantastic healthy fun!
I love teaching at Saint Joseph's College because of the community we have here. What makes this place special? First and foremost - my students and my staff and faculty colleagues. We're a small college where everyone knows each other. At graduation, the graduates march past everyone from the housekeeping staff, the facilities crew, to dining services, coaches, and faculty. Hugs, handshakes, high fives abound. Academically, I love that I can get to know my students, watch them grow, go out in the field with them, and provide research opportunities. We're a small institution where students can make things happen - in extracurriculars, on the playing field, and in the classroom and lab. As a faculty member, I don't have huge course rosters, so I can take the time to work with students one on one and troubleshoot difficulty with course material. Students just have to stop by my office or drop an email... and if they don't, I go find them! We're in a special place - on the shores of Sebago Lake - a trillion gallons of pristine Maine water and one of the cleanest lakes in the country. At the same time, we're just 19 miles from Portland an incredibly fun and vibrant city. All in all I think our students get a fantastic individualized education at SJC!
My name is Mary Lou Labrecque, I have been involved with Saint Joseph’s College. forseveral years. silver sneakers started and I enjoyed the classes and the instructors. Then COVID came along and we.went to Zoom, and now we are returning to in person. The classes gave me a quality of life during the pandemic. Jenna and her staff have been amazing, The college is so fortunate to have someone like Jenna involved in the College. No matter what insufficient question you ask she is as pleasant and helpful I can’t say enough positive things about my involvement. Thanks again for the opportunity to sing your praises.
I'm afraid I'm not at all impressed with this College. I am taking online courses and my first class was designed by one person and implemented by another which caused confusion regarding the questions and discussion topics. On papers …
Attending St. Joseph's College was the best decision I ever made. I'm so thankful for the opportunities SJC provided to develop close relationships with professors, explore areas of interest outside of the classroom, and take an active role …
Their housing seemed great, but the college fabricates charges to get additional money and is not easily dealt with, so don’t live there! Classes were great and my daughter did very well academically, but we recommend people live off campus.
I visited Saint Joseph's College of Maine as the parent of a student who considered attending. It was brought to my attention by another parent that Saint Joseph's had a coronavirus outbreak recently. When I inquired, they responded that …
College cafeteria's are the best! $7.50 all you can eat. Buffet style! Beautifully laid out grounds and buildings. Great place to relax and enjoy.
Please tell me why they charge students $8.00 for a simple transcript? They’re basically stealing from us after charging over $24,000 for tuition. This place is a joke and I hope it closes soon. So happy I left.
I have tried to rent the pool there for my 6 years old daughter and have had no success! I had first tried to set a date and it was all booked for that day. I was told …
I have a BS and a M.Ed. degree, and I decided to apply for an online graduate program at SJCME. After spending money, time, and energy into the application process, all I get from them is a rejection (!) letter from them without stating a …
Not the greatest online FNP program. I gave 2 stars because the instructors and advisors were great. That's about it. Just be prepared for many changes throughout the program and stay on top of deadlines because they will change on a moments notice.
Enjoyed my time at SJC in a small tight knit community. Made lifelong friends through baseball and prepared me for future endeavors.
