Great school! In my anecdotal experience the teachers were respectful and considerate of me as a working adult. Lots of night classes

Not enjoying the constant text messages and junk mail asking me to donate. My donation was the tuition that I’ll spend the next 20 years paying.

It was a nice place to watch the student's films. Easy parking.

9th year of college, never experienced such treatment. 2/3 of instructors were social justice indoctrination warriors, anti- everything American. Despite a perfect GPA, I was shamed in feedback from several instructors. Besides that, the Twin Cities community us extremely dangerous. Parents, please don't entrust your children to this school..

Pros Cheap tuition Evening classes Cons 1. They will not help you find job after graduation. 2. Same professors teach different classes. 3. Not lot of extracurricular activities.

I have completed my undergraduate (creative writing) and graduate (technical communication) degrees at Metro State. I have worked my a** off and been deeply challenged. 90% of my professors have been brilliant, accessible and hugely helpful. They have taught me much beyond just facts and information. I am now well-employed and well-compensated. My employer values all that I've learned through my formal education. I recommend Metro to any working adult who wants to gain from the experience of diverse classes and diverse teachers. Looking at some of the poor reviews posted here, I can hardly believe we've gone to the same school. Makes me sad, because my experience has been outstanding.

I received my undergrad from here in 2015 and it was a mediocre education then. It was much better once I began taking 400 and 500 level classes. I was able to tell that the professors actually cared. I have recently gone back and the school is worse than it was before. Not only did I have a professor resign four weeks in to the semester but the school has no clue what they are telling students when it comes to financial aid. I was told after I began classes that I needed to switch my status to degree seeking and this was not a problem. Well I did that two weeks in and now its the end of March and they told me I can't get financial aid for the semester because I didn't have it set as degree seeking when I began. I was completely unaware that it was that important and that is the financial aid offices job and the advisors job to help you get everything in order. I'm like every other person at a school like this and now I'm stuck with a credit cared bill with 25% interest for 12 credits worth of classes. I truly feel that they know these things but want to have max enrollment so they are willing the screw over students in order to fill classes. Also, I don't know why I was surprised that my advisor was no help. I reached out to here at the beginning of the semester and it took her NINE days to respond to me. The school isn't going to approve time off at the start of a semester after winter break so where the hell was she even?? Lastly, my other two professors are amazing and do great work. Unfortunately they are being dragged down by a very poorly run system.

Trash. Complete garbage. Graduated and cannot get my degree. I can get the transcript after having PAID for it. Went over seas for a job offer that they accepted with a transcript but I still need the degree training is almost done and i need the degree but they're EDegree was doesn't work and to get a duplicate I have to mail in a form.and have it mailed back. Insane the amount of work I've had to go through to not get my degree. Do not go here if you want an actual diploma to show jobs. If you can fix this and are a part of metrostate contact me. Or continue to not do your job like you've been doing Edit: gonna leave to bad grammar as it shows how frustrated I am with this situation. Absolutely insane.

I graduated in April of 2018, and I am grateful for the education I received. The professors are patient, knowledgeable, and the majority taught at other universities. I recommend this school for individuals who are working full time, or need a flexible school schedule. The cost is very reasonable for a university as well!

Fake degree. No one wants to hire a metro state grad. I was told to go on linked in and connected with alumni and hope they can help me find something. Fake education. “Professors” teach straight out of the textbook, dry, irrelevant and tasteless. If you want to get hired, don’t go here for school
