The admissions and financial aid processes were exceptionally problematic. My experience was the worst among all institutions I have interacted with. Financial aid was denied without adequate justification, whereas applications to other institutions were approved without incident. Furthermore, attempts to contact admissions and financial aid were unsuccessful, as responses were consistently delayed. Therefore, I cannot recommend this university.
Helping my daughter move out after Freshmen year. She had an excellent experience and they took good care of her. I am a UNM grad and Lobo fan for 48 years so I had high expectations for NMSU to step up and they did.
currently entering my last year here. financial aid needs to be available to students by the first day of classes. they have never figured out how to do this because they don't care.
It is crazy to me that no one answering the phone seems know, or care to know the answers to basic questions… I called the Bursar’s office about tuition for one of their programs - they said “it should be xx but I’m not sure”. So I called the “global online” department, similar answers. Similar lack of being concerned with giving accurate information. Then I couldn’t get a return call from anyone. I think I dodged a bullet on going here.
The professors here are amazing and the drive to teach shows. I would not choose to go anywhere else.
Starbucks on campus to meet & greet people from all over the world in New Mexico
Pros: Beautiful campus with lots of trees and grass. Awesome weather with almost no winter. Cheaper than UNM (a lot cheaper) and the people are small town friendly. Cost of living is low, which makes school and living more affordable. Cons: A lot of abandon apartments, frat houses and 1940’s outdated single housing on campus that the university has never upgraded or leveled. Financial management and administration of the university has been very poor over the last 15 years.
I am currently a student living on campus. 2nd semester freshman studying Information and Communication Technology.
They need a shipping and receiving department. Worst to deliver packages to.
Pretty Good University! GO AGGIES!
