If I could give this campus zero stars, I definitely would. One of my employees took an Intro to QuickBooks course in October 2024. The first issue was that the teacher never showed up, and there were always technical difficulties accessing their online portal. Fast forward to December, and they finally received their certificate. Since January, we have tried multiple times to contact the office, along with the rest of the classmates, but they have consistently ignored us. We have been requesting a refund or the opportunity to retake the course, but all they have done is ignore our calls and emails. multiple times with the rest of the classmates and all they did was ignore them we were requesting a refund or to retake the course but all they have been doing is ignoring our calls and emails

Do not choose this place to get your education done. Professors and staff do not care about you. Unfortunately i chose professor Paul Drummond for my summer class semester and it was a total mess. He would leave meetings for 20 mins and would not teach, me and other classmates trying reaching out for help but it seems like they don't care now im in danger of failing this course because when we email Drummond for help or questions he does not respond i forgot to mention he is very disrespectful towards students, during meetings when we would ask questions he would talk over us, ignore us, and raise his voice at us. Also EXAMS are 50+ questions with less than 40 mins. This is not a safe place for students. Totally unfair for someone who pays out of pocket for their education.HCC NEEDS TO DO BETTER when hiring professors.

Took Microbiology at HCC and was randomly assigned to Drummond. Easily the worst professor I’ve had. Exams were impossible to finish, confusing, and didn’t match the material. He ignored his own syllabus, never held promised office hours, and didn’t respond to emails. Zero empathy for students. The worst part? The department knows about his terrible reputation and still does nothing. If I had known in advance, I would’ve never taken his class. Don’t waste your money or time at HCC if this is what they allow.

I’m trying to get into the CNA program, I’ve called hundreds times and nobody answers at all. I send an email to ask about my application because they never answer, so I don’t know if my application is correct, If I missing something, I have no clue, so I have to dive to the school to se if someone can help me.

Tammy in student life center helped me and my son out. She was very informative and professional. She went above and beyond to help us out. We were able to solve my problem and even if I wasn’t able to get the answer I wanted. This customer service interaction still would have been great because I could tell she really wanted to help us . Tammy gets five stars. Thanks again Tammy I really appreciate your help.

I went to the campus to vote early! The building is the one closest to Woodridge and can be missed if it's your fist time. Its across from the parking garage where they do Covid 19 tests! Voting for me took me about 10-15 minutes, but almost no line really. I went at 730pm-8pm.

Most advisors are rude they are not helpful but rude when signing up for classes. The financial aid office on the other hand is very nice.

This school makes me miss San Jac. No one ever answers the phones and if they do, they don’t give helpful information (they don't know a clear answer for anything and will steer you in the wrong direction), the bookstore closes early and is usually out of stock, teacher choices are vague, NEVER any parking, lots of construction. Don’t waste your money. Edited to add: I called to make a complaint about how the staff is not very helpful or nice when assisting with information (after being hung up on once and then scalded next) and the person I called to make the complaint about was the person who "resolved" the complaint. Of course. I attached the screenshots of her response as well.

Choose a different HCC location to go to. I was here to sign up for fall semester and the staff at advising and counseling treated me horribly. I was signing up for classes on their laptops and they sent staff every 5 minutes just for a manager to yell at us saying. “What’s taking you so long!” I was there max 2 hours especially since none of their laptops were connecting to their Wi-Fi. Manager changed his tone once he knew we were paying out of pocket. Staff judges by looks and are not friendly. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

I struggled with how many stars I should give this school. Great professors, but sorry admin staff....I won't even get started with the politics of this school. Financial aid is horrible, they lost my paperwork 5 times!!! Admissions lost my transcripts and kept saying I needed to test out for math, when it clearly stated on my transcript that I was exempt. This school is extremely unorganized and politics are so big here, I'm not saying not to attend but get signatures and names of EVERYONE you speak with..it will save you in the long run.
