Having been close to the campus for a while now, I've had the wonderful opportunity to witness firsthand just how fantastic San Antonio College (SAC) truly is. Through my fiancé's experience as an enrolled student, I've been consistently impressed by the quality of the facilities and the extensive resources made available to them. What's more, the staff at SAC are incredibly supportive and genuinely invested in their students' success. It’s a campus where every element—from the learning environment to the people who make it run—works together to create a nurturing place for growth. Without a doubt, San Antonio College is a truly outstanding institution for anyone pursuing higher education.

San Antonio College offers an excellent opportunity for students seeking a flexible, steady-paced approach to higher education, particularly for non-traditional learners. The campus environment is decent, and the resources provided can be beneficial if students know how to navigate them (advocacy case management, programs, ect.). However, one of the biggest challenges I’ve noticed is within the administrative and advising services. The Alamo Colleges District struggles with organization, communication, and accountability (like delayed scores being posted). I often find it difficult to access timely and effective support whether it’s seeking guidance from advisors or resolving registration issues, the process requires repeated follow-ups and a great deal of persistence.

I had a phenomenal experience at SAC. As an international student, the community college was truly an enriching experience. I expected a lot less since community colleges have a stigma but OH MY SOUL!! I would recommend this college to anyone. I started during the covid times and had online classes in 2021. Although everything was on Zoom, I could tell that the professors took pride and put a lot of effort into their work. As soon as we went back to campus fall of 2022, I was highly involved on campus. I was a Mentor and the captain of the speech and debate team. I loved some if not all my professors. There are some professors that are tough and have a rigorous curriculum however it’s college and you actually learn. I received multiple scholarships and made it on the President‘s list every semester. I graduated SAC May 2023 and I transferred to UIW and got a scholarship for just attending an Alamo College! Love that for me and thanks to SAC for that! Overall College is what you make of it and I HIGHLY recommend SAC.

Cool place, lots of services to aid such as the advocacy center, mental health resources, advisors, cafeterias, school store, clubs, a small gym, and so much more. Ive got a few semesters still, but I really like the memories I make with my friends here. Walking around and seeing the nature and squirrels is calming. I have a fear of squirrels but they haven't harmed me yet lol. They're cute. Only downsides are the aces website sometimes doesn't work, it also no longer let's me schedule appointments with my advisor on the AlamoNavigate, saying there's no available appointments any time for even months later. So talking with my advisor can be a little tricky. As well as the prices can be expensive in the store.. but other than that, I recommend coming here. Real great place to go to school at with friends and even make friends. Below are some attached photos of some art pieces in the art building and nature pictures from campus. Shout out to the volunteers from eco centro, helping plant stuff and help the place look beautiful! As well as those who help the cats on campus. I love occasionally finding a cat by the advocacy and petting them. Fun, cool, helpful place!

This college is an absolute gem! From academics to campus life, everything about this school exceeds expectations. The professors are top-notch—knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in their students’ success. They create an engaging and challenging learning environment that pushes you to think critically and grow. The class sizes are just right, allowing for personalized attention and meaningful discussions. The campus is beautiful, with state-of-the-art facilities and plenty of resources to support students both academically and personally. Whether it's the libraries, labs, or recreational areas, there’s no shortage of places to study, relax, or get involved. The campus culture is inclusive, and there are so many clubs and events that make it easy to find a sense of community. What really stands out is the level of support students receive. The advising staff is incredibly helpful, guiding you through your academic journey, career planning, and personal development. I never felt alone in my college experience—there’s always someone ready to offer advice or encouragement. I’ve learned so much here, both inside and outside the classroom, and I’m confident that this college has truly prepared me for success in the real world. If you’re considering this college, go for it—you won’t regret it! It’s truly a place that fosters growth, connection, and achievement.

great school, teachers and campus BUT their financial aid department is the worst. any time you call with a question and voice any issue, they are SO dry. it’s as if they hate their jobs and show no empathy.

Go Armadillo's!!! San Antonio College is the best!! They care about their students and have so many programs for all situations that may arise. The RTVB program is state of the art in classes, instructors, and equipment. The hands-on experience is line no other around. Best of all there is an actual Radio Station on Campus KSYM 90.1. check it out on KSYM.org or get the KSYM app. You will love it!!!

It seems that not a single person knows anything about anything at this school. You will be referred to a department for them to give you an attitude, get angry and, tell you, you called the wrong department and then transfer you to another department just for them to do the same thing. You will be referred or transferred to 5 different departments going in circles until someone actually has the answer you're looking for. The website and phone system is an actual nightmare! So much so that I am highly considering going elsewhere due to lack of communication or guidance especially for it being my first time enrolling into college. I decided to change my major before actually enrolling for the Spring 2025 semester and was first told I needed to come in person to fill out the form to change majors but was sent the form to fill out online the previous day, a prime example of the lack of communication between anyone. After explaining that I was sent the form to fill out online I was met with an attitude (just as I am in every single department I reach out too) and she goes on to tell me that it going to take a whole semester to update my major so I won't be able to enroll until Summer 2025. This has been the biggest joke of my life and a huge waste of my time. I have not one single good thing to say about the whole process and I am not even enrolled yet!! Take your education somewhere else and save yourself the headache!
