The most useless degree I've ever gotten. I have been searching for jobs since graduating and not one place will hire me. The digital media degree I have is worthless to employers. And their office that tries to help you build their resume? Worthless they tell you to do things you've done 100 times before, they have nothing here that's useful and worst of all I'm saddled with Dept up to my eyeballs! I have to work at a traffic control company holding a lollipop because my degree is so worthless to make a living. Don't go here, it's overpriced and everything I learned here I could have learned on YouTube.
For profit school. Over priced for what you get by all means. If you go here enroll in the Associates first then apply for the bachelors seeing as they will waste credits on capstone associates projects even if you’re enrolled in the bachelors program and then they’ll obligated to give you your associates if you have to leave the school. Unlike me who completed more than an associates but can’t receive it even though I moved out of state due to their policy. I was told this policy always existed even though that’s simply not true and read the student handbooks it’s clearly a new addition to this 2025 year which went into effect after I left the school. Shady staff I will also be filling a formal complaint with Veterans Affairs as I used my military benefits to attend. Do not trust this school.
I've noticed mixed reviews about this institution. My brother, who is an alumni, and my child have been attending NEIT. Despite the costs of tuition and excessive fees, it is the only institution nearby that offers a Bachelor's in Architectural Building Engineering Technology. The academic programs are rigorous and effectively prepare students for the future. New England Institute of Technology provides exceptional support from faculty and staff, with 94% of graduates finding employment in their field. If you are committed to your education, this is the ideal place for you. I highly recommend NEIT for those serious about their academic path.
Don’t go here for Software Engineering & Web Development. First two terms are great they start you with an amazing teacher Katie Truchon, who goes step by step teaching coding & giving realistic homework. After that Term 3, they give you professors who don’t teach basics , just give lectures and assign homework. These professors will tell you to “look it up” or seek assistance from a tutor. (on-campus) Term 3 & 4 I had professor show all the homework assignments & link all the resources to learn it’s your responsibility to go through it all & click what’s needed. Not worth the money or time. If you already have years of experience and just want a fast track program to a degree this is perfect for you. If you have zero experience and need to learn from scratch don’t go here. Nothings broken down and taught it’s rushed to get you done.
Thank you to Sue in IT, Mr. Norman in Admissions, and the Veteran's department! You guys are awesome and have helped me so much!
If you’re going into the SWE or CS track here, don’t. They’re incredibly behind and will have courses on legacy systems that most software companies are trying to get rid of. A coding boot camp would serve you better. If you want to actually do well out with this degree program, you’re gonna have to study up on actual modern technologies and use them for your capstones. I give this school next to 0 credit for where I am career wise, I’ve had to do a lot of my own research to get a “cutting edge” job. They’ll gear you up for either a military contractor or some old tech company that’s still struggling to catch up to the norm Edit: ignore their reply. They’re just trying to cover up. I can’t tell you the amount of times I got a “just cause” when I’d ask why we aren’t learning some other more modern framework. Plus a completely non technical person was in charge of grading my senior capstone, dude had no idea how to read the code we were submitting.
Little long worth the read, would give 1 Star if I could. I was so excited to enter the Business Management program here. My associates went OK. This was when there were no dorms so I was driving from Worcester MA all the way to East Greenwich RI. Thinking this school was worth it. Decided to go for my bachelors in business because I was told it was a degree in entrepreneurship. They changed the objective and course after I signed up!!! Its objective now is "Team Management" (or was before I left). I'm sorry but who is willing to pay $50,000 OR MORE for a degree in team management. Ladies and gents there are much better tech colleges out there. I'm sorry I learned the hard way but at least I can let others know.
Just got off the phone with Jessica Cocozza and that was the most unhelpful conversation I’ve had with anyone from an admissions department. Asked what time the programs were, she didn’t know. Told me I would have to sign up for a class to get the class schedule. Didn’t know the difference between RN and LPN. Huffed and puffed after asking about tuition. Don’t understand what the call was for if she wasn’t even trying to help me out. Definitely not giving them 33k to get treated like that. Can’t even imagine what it would be like to be a student there. Lincoln tech it is.
Avoid this for-profit school! Go to ANY other trade school. They canceled my student loans without my knowledge. I got pulled out of class several times in the beginning of my semester and was told to go to the bursars office, once I got there no one could tell me what was going on with my account and they told me to try the registrars office. Same thing, no one could tell me why I was getting pulled out of class or what was going on with my account. Everything looked fine they said. After about 3 weeks of that and getting zero info...I stopped getting pulled out of class and at the end of the semester I got a $5000+ bill. They've been suing me for it for the past 8 years. Everytime I've gone to court there's always atleast 10 other people there who had the same thing happen to them. Do yourself a favor and find an apprenticeship instead of wasting your money at this "school".
You wont get an engineering degree from here. You'll be a technician. You will never get an engineering degree from here. They don't have it on the website, you can look everywhere on it. There's no truth to the website. They overcharge you and don't teach you what youre paying for. For the price you pay, you should learn a lot more. I'm in my third term and have yet to do anything for my major. I had to wait three terms to be able to get A CLASS for my major. It's not worth it. I AM A STUDENT AND I AM TELLING YOU. DO NOT COME HERE. You're better off going to URI or any community college!! I hate it here.
When my twin and I were looking at technical schools in Rhode Island, little did we know that there were so many courses to choose from. While we may be twins, our tastes are vastly different. One of the things we really liked about NEIT …
The school is a 'for profit' college. Most of the classes are underfunded and lack a decent amount of materials. You …
I'd give the school and it's community five and a half stars out of five if it had student and faculty EV charging stations!!! Coincidentally I have to confess that the last electrician who came to my house was a graduate of New England …
Yes, of course there is a price for excellence, but what an extraordinary place for A. D. A. students. They help them every step of the way... WOW is not enough. Great institution for students from all aspects of life.
Don’t try their new programs. I attended their Lpn program which is newer and it is honestly a hot mess. Professors aren’t on the same page, curriculums aren’t put together before the term. It’s honestly amazing how these kinds of schools still function.
This whole time i was under the impression that i would be able to complete my cybersecurity degree online, which the website says on campus, online, and hybrid. I was even told when i went to take a test at the campus that i could do this. …
I started going to New England Institute of Technology in 2014 for an AS in electronics and continued on to a BS in electrical engineering technology. Some of the things I like about NEIT is that they have small class sizes and that lets …
Going here was the worst decision I ever made honestly. They're more concerned about money and deadlines than they are your education. I've also never met more unprofessional teachers until I went here. Do some research before applying! I …
They sent my daughter an email while she was at her first shift at the er vet saying they were taking her to court over something they found in her dorm room. They had nothing. She had an autistic meltdown & left the school. She can’t get financial aid now. You ruined her life. Thanks.
The surgical tech classes here are just the best. The lab simulation sessions, accompanied by the instructions on surgical procedures and instruments, give you all the tools to succeed in an operating room environment. The instructors here …
