Me and my friends wrote these - Why has becoming a university been such a big deal? The countless videos, the endless reminders, over and over again, University is the greatest thing you will ever achieve. University is the greatest thing you will ever achieve over and over again. If you are planning to go to Edgewood for anything BUT all the medical math ways, STOP Let me plainly put it, if you are not going for anything medical related, nurse, doctor, vet, then you're in for a ride. The only funding at Edgewood is anything medical-related; any other majors are shoved in an empty building or in a random basement with no teacher. My friend is in the music department. He went there for music later to report that it's all tough with one teacher every class, and his teacher's rating was a 2/5 in the back room in the basement of a residential hall. There are multiple majors that have 1-2 teachers, and they are rated to be decent. It makes me sad that when changing from a College to a university, the only thing that was promoted was Edgewood University's new bowling team and more medical opportunities; they cut two majors down to 1 or 2 teachers during that transition, for what a bowling team and more medical classes we don't need So, when considering going here, if you want to be understood, treated fairly, and receive a somewhat good education, go for medical stuff. If you want to be tossed away and forgotten, not listened to with a horrible, understaffed education, choose anything else Don’t take this down I have the RIGHT to VOICE my opinion I know that Google will take this down because why actually allow a comment that says how a person really feels, I have the RIGHT to voice my opinion. This school took my first day as a Freshman happiness and made me depressed, sad, and overall unhappy. The housing is discussing that my entire floor had mice and bugs, people have pooped in the showers and on the kitchen floors, and they never take care of the living spaces. Bugs in the kitchen, dishes stacked so high that I found a mouse in a dish I also have a RIGHT to VOICE my opinion, don't take this down because you're scared to face the truth, Edgewood. The school's food gave me and my friends food poisoning multiple times. I had to go off campus every day and get food because we always got so sick. I also found hair in my food and a bug.

Overall I really like attending here, the community and events are awesome along with the lovely views. Tread carefully with housing, residence life doesn't respond enough and sometimes you'll have trouble with professors but it's not enough to dissuade me. For a private institution, I found it rather affordable being in the lower class myself.

This place is literally unsafe. Idk the name of the woman who works in parking alongside security but she doesn't need to work there. She is unprofessional and scary with how her emotional outbursts hinder her ability to work. It was my first week and she harassed me for DAYS, closely following me, and caused such a commotion that I ended up telling my friends and followers to not attend this school. Edgewood isn't professional and trustworthy if they endanger the safety and health of students by hiring unhinged staff. The front desk Aram (or something) will pretend to have customer service skills but then insult you to your face with something bigoted, then play dumb. Throw the whole school in rice.

advising has never made real effort to help so an instructor took it upon themselves to help me but now I’m facing lots of issues with FAFSA since the advising team doesn’t express anything to me. the advising/counseling here is an absolute joke.

Students pay tens of thousands of dollars for their nursing degrees only to sit in a 30 minute graduation ceremony with no cap and gown. It's very unfortunate that the staff here downplays such a wonderful achievement. Let's also not forget all of the "refreshments provided afterward".... there were none. There was a student that passed away and her name was never acknowledged during the ceremony. Sad. Very sad.

the price paid to experience so many problems is laughable. don’t go to this school. everything is poorly managed (especially anything advising or registrar) aside from a few unsung heroes among the instructors.

Beautiful campus in the heart of Madison. Small class sizes and great student community.
